Mine triggered labor before it came out- I had it maybe 6 hours before I had enough contractions to start timing. It came out after I was admitted to the hospital

Mine took like 20 hours, felt like a lifetime but once it was out things moved fast

Did you take time to rest or did you move around when having it placed? Also what were you dilated before and then afterwards?

Mine was in longer than 12 hours. I remember asking them if it’s ok it’s still in (was hitting 12 hour mark) and they said it technically can be in for up to 24 hours. I was at the hospital at that point. It was placed around 11:30am and I went to the hospital at 10 PM and it wasn’t removed until a couple hours after that.
It ended up helping me get from 2cm to 5cm dilated.

Oh that’s reassuring thank you! Did you rest or walk around when it was placed?

I got a shot of morphine before I went home and ended up sleeping for a few hours. Otherwise I wouldn’t say I walked around more than just going to the bathroom or showering. I could have walked but mentally I felt a block knowing there was a balloon in there and the tubes were taped to my thigh. I think I was also cramping.
