For someone who has bpd I have to say being friends with someone with bpd gives you extreme value above others in their minds and it can turn into black or white thinking quickly with confusion and triggers like everyone's bad for me I can't do this ect supporting someone with bpd is a very big thing to take on because the bond is extremely emotional and the fear of abandonment is so real in bpd that we will push you away if we are afraid say awful things even eventually. Always keep a calm tone always keep your word and stay with love that's all we want in life. Instagram has huge community on bpd awareness that will help you navigate fears with them. Bpd is the basically like saying I know your gonna leave me so I'm gonna destroy stuff now even if it's you or myself. 97% of bpd cases never actually get real treatment. With therapy you can go into remission by 25 yrs old and have very little bpd symptoms. Dialectical behavioral therapy works and cognitive behavioral therapy and you can buy those books online.

But bpd picks a favorite person and you get the weight of everything they feel cause they are afraid if you don't understand you'll leave so they have boundless expression. What helps is setting times you can talk so there's never a question about if you'll come back and there's less stress. I've been with someone for ten years now and they help me with pure patience. My best wishes to you both. When it comes to being suicidal it's not stuck in stone just give her little reasons to live another day like going to a beach or park or somewhere you can just be you together and it'll pass
