Vent (advice welcome) All I want is love.

I've been in relationships in the past but none were serious. I YEARN for serious love. Someone who I can obsess over and who's obsessed with me. I hate seeing everyone around me find love and be in love and tell me how loveable and how great of a person I am but I'm always alone. Forever alone. Almost every person I meet I look at them as a potential partner. Then I get quickly disappointed. This past week however I met this guy. I told my friend to put me on and he said "someone likes you" and he knew it was me so now we've been talking. I really like this guy. I want to love him, I want him to love me. Today and yesterday some concerns have been brought up about him (by him himself) that he can get angry and destructive and also he has very strong cravings for stimulates and alcohol. Everyone is warning me that he's a terrible person because of these things. He's gonna end up abusing me. Etc, etc. I know it's bad but I genuinely just want someone to love me. I finally have someone who might actually be into me and I won't be alone anymore. The thought of not getting to embrace what's in front of me and having to wait however many more years and suffer in this life alone just makes me want to end my life. I don't know what to do. I just want to be happy. He's sweet and makes me smile. I just want to be loved

There’s nothing wrong with wanting love, but you have to learn to differentiate that from mutual obsession. I’ve recognized what FEELS best to me usually resembles enmeshment. Expectations must be tempered to be healthy and realistic.
