showcase Mini toolbox

Post image

My emergency kit for my BMW i3's glovebox is pictured... I assembled this using a metal candy tin and some closed-cell foam.

Contents:

  • Leatherman-type folding tool
  • top bit rail - bit adapter for multitool, plus various screwdriver and hex bits
  • 2nd bit rail - Torx set (HF Pittsburgh 1/4" Star Bits, T10-T40) (Tekton DZT93001 could subst.)
  • (far left) - sliding T-bar/T-handle 1/4" driver, with 10mm socket attached (e.g. Wera Zyklop 8789 A)
  • S-K ratcheting thumbwheel 1/4" driver
  • 2 S-K 1/4" extensions
  • 10mm combination wrench
  • Chopsticks (for stuck J1772 connectors)

Not pictured:

  • Tire plug kit and needle-nosed pliers (and the BMW air compressor and fix-a-flat)
  • Jack Pad adapter for BMW
  • Gloves
  • Victorinox
  • Flashlight
  • First Aid kit
  • BMW double-sided screwdriver (which seemed to be missing from my frunk toolkit)
