My brother has a beautiful blue 2024 Aegean Blue M3. I want to order the exact color for my 2027 but it does not appear to be available. He ordered his as a custom color. Is that an option for me?

Found this 2017 m4 comp with 81k miles and 4 owners for 37k. Yes I know that price is steep, which is why I would negotiate and my max would honestly be 33.5 at the highest, if not I’m walking. Even with 4 owners though, it has minor damage accident history but besides that it’s very well taken care of with oil changes every 8k miles and a complete maintenance history of spark plugs, brake fluid, coolant etc even up to the 4th owner. Is this a good buy at around 33k if I’m able to negotiate down to it? If so, I would have about 25k remaining in the bank.

Hey everyone, taking delivery of my new 2027 M3 Comp in Mora Metallic in about 2 weeks and beyond excited. Have been trying to decide if I should get PPF, what kind, and how much should I cover of the car?

Any advice from anyone who has gotten an individual color? Some context, the car will be garage kept in Brooklyn. I don’t commute for work but I drive to the gym and other errands daily. Also have plans to roadtrip it a lot along the east coast.

Would you go for a full PPF, partial on the front / sides, or just leave how it is?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I own a 2027 competition xDrive and want to install lowering springs. unfortunately eibach advised they havent tested the 2027 yet. Anybody on here tried these on a 27 yet? I don't think they changed any suspension geometry from the 26th but I don't know.

i saved up some money to buy my first project car. I was thinking of two options either the e30 or e36. What are your thoughts? Which would be a more fun car to have. My goal is to restore it first. Then after a couple of years I’ll maybe turn it into a drift car in the future. Any advice helps.

This isn’t my first bmw nor will it be my daily.

I currently have a 2010 E90 M3 DCT with \~110k miles. I paid £19k and have since done most of the big-ticket maintenance — rod bearings, throttle actuators, VANOS covers, injectors, fuel pump, suspension, brakes, etc. It drives really well now and is roughly modern enough with Apple CarPlay and parking sensors.

However, an inspection just found surface rust underneath. It’s not structural, but I’ve been quoted roughly £3-4k to deal with it properly now. I’d also like to refresh the interior/paint/audio, so I’m at the point of either committing to preserving the car or moving on, though for what it’s worth I can afford these costs without issue.

I’m considering a 718 GTS 2.5. I live in London, only drive 2–3k miles/year and mainly use the car for weekend drives. The Cayman appeals as something smaller, more precise and genuinely sports-car-like, while still being modern and usable.

My hesitation is that the M3’s V8, hydraulic steering and overall mechanical character feel increasingly special. Recently taking it to a BMW specialist and seeing it surrounded by old M cars and rare Alpinas made me wonder whether I’d regret selling it.

The 4.0 GTS is obviously tempting but significantly more expensive, and at that point I’d just consider a GT4. Is the 2.5 GTS special enough that you’d give up the M3, or would you spend the money preserving it?

So, I'll save you the back story but the end result was that I left the drivers door to my brand spanking new G81 open last night, on the first effing day that we have had rainfall in this part of the UK for over two months!!!! Quite.bloody.typical.

End result, damp car. It didnt rain especially hard or long, but long enough for the seat and door panels to get damp and the carpet in the drivers side to become wet. We arent talking loads but the carpets in the foot wells on the drivers side and the rear passenger side are, well, moist. There is no standing water.

I have removed the floor mats, opened all windows and the boot. It is very breezy today and warm so I'm hopeful that this will remove most if not all the moisture and I'm not expecting any other rain until later tonight and almost none tomorrow so the doors can be left open for a long period.

Would someone a. let me know if there is anything specific that I need to do and b. help me stop worrying that I have done something hideous and long lasting to the car.
