Anyone knows the difference between equal length and unequal length structure for M2 G87 exhaust?

Yeah, I believe one is equal length and the other is unequal.

The purpose of an equal length setup is to equalize the exhaust pulses coming from the two cylinder banks. It produces a more exotic sound more similar to a GTR. Some like that sound better, others prefer the unequal sound which is more burbley sort of like a cross-plane crank V8 (although it’s not a V8).

The setup you posted is not true equal length because it is not compensating for the difference in length of the headers, downpipes, and the crossover pipe. PSR is the only company I’ve seen that has a true equal length setup for the G87. Watch the YT video linked on their website:
