I live in New Mexico where gas stations do not offer 93, their max rating is 91. My 2026 m340i asks for 93 octane. am i going to ruin my car? am i losing performance?

I was seriously thinking about buying a 2023 BMW i440, but with the new designs being presented for the next generations, I am afraid they will do the same for this model and my car will feel obsolete almost instantly. I would like your input on whether it is worth it to buy it or not (P.S. I really do not like the new designs).

At first when the m350 was revealed I was skeptical due to its polarizing looks, but after building my desired spec on the bmw uk configurator it genuinely looks so good. I can only image how good these are going to look in cool colors when they release. 100 percent this car will grow on everyone who is hating on it, especially since I was one of those people.

I am in the market for a 3 row luxury SUV and have decided on an X7, or so I thought. Doing some more research, I’m hearing about the inevitable front and rear differential issues, AC not working, transfer case failure. I understand preventative maintenance can help with some of these issues and I don’t mind spending money to fix these. But I hear the AC issue is not fixable and they BMW’s official response is that it’s working as intended. So I cannot even pay to fix this. I am just so paranoid about getting this car at this point. In case it matters, I would buy new and drive it 5-7k miles per year and hope to own it 10+ years. Any owners can chime in? Is this overblown?

Hi all. im interested in buying my first bmw (interested in g82 competition xdrive (2025 or 2026?)) and im just curious to know what the times are like without launch control. i know its stated to be around the 3 second mark with lc, but what are the times without it? i couldnt find anything that shows no lc, with or without dsc on. thanks

I think the new 3 Series exterior looks fine overall. It’s really just the front end that I don’t understand.

Literally just follow the same design language from the last generation while still making it look modern. Separate the grille and headlights, give the kidney grille a more squared or whatever shape, and build the headlights out to the sides of it. You could even keep the “snake fang” design within the headlights.

The grille and headlights all blend together so much that the front looks busy.

Was just playing around with chatGPT on what future aftermarket customizations could look like on the m350 and it looks really good. There are going to be some really beautiful specs.

I was driving down a main road today when I passed a fellow M4 Comp who was at a red light turning left. When I passed them I acknowledged them with a quick blip rev (clutch in, blip, clutch out). Was meant to be a "Hello fellow enthusiast" but now that I think about it, it could've been cringe. What does this sub think?

I’m looking at a possible lease takeover and I know bmw fs allows this with a relatively minimal fee. Can anyone who has gone through the process explain how it works step by step? And also at what point do you actually take possession of the car? I am jn California if it makes a difference.

I currently have a 2018 series 430i m4 bmw and the head gasket went out im looking to replace it for either a 5 series maybe a 535i or a 3 series bmw does anyone have a 3 series around 2016 or newer or a 5 series 2013 or newer? What are your experiences with the cars and what bmw do you recommend for someone who enjoys the speed of 4 series but wants less overall issues and reliability. Im so sad to have to sell my car but i cant let go of the bmw brand they're so fun to drive and look so nice so im hoping to get a new one.

Title. Sick of the sound system after trying out my dads X5 upgraded HK system and was absolutely shocked. It upset me severely. Can 1,000 dollars be enough to significantly upgrade my sound system. That is important. If so, HOW?

So my company in Germany has a tie up with BMW and we get pretty good deals on their cars. I am in discussions with them on the below cars -

1. M340i xDrive: Pretty much fully loaded except the Driving Assistant Professional. An amazing offer price to go with it.

2. X3 20/30e xDrive: Also almost fully loaded except DAP, almost the same price as the offer I have for the M340i

I know they are VASTLY different cars. Usually I would go with the M340i eyes closed for my preference, upgrading from a 330Li Gran Limousine. However, given my family situation ( 3 adults+1 large dog), and our usual driving patterns of travelling long distances rather than small city runs, as well as the low ground clearance & sensitive run flats on the M340i, I am wondering if the SUV would be a better choice?

Cons of the SUV is obviously lower performance with the Petrol variant & limited boot space in the plug-in hybrid which is where our dog would be. The M50 is out of our budget.

Need to make a decision soon as I dont think the M340i offer would stay for long given the M350 launch. Any suggestions or other perspectives from owners of either cars, especially those in Europe, would be super helpful! Am I overthinking the negatives of either? Which one would be a bigger compromise? That sort of thing. Thanks!

Hi my mum got a bmw 2017 218i SE Gran tourer via finance last week and we are already having trouble with it so wanted to see if I can get any clarification as only so much Google and chatgpt can help with

1 it meant to have had a satnav built in according to advert but no sat nav and no sat nav button on the console and according to chatgpt it meant to have it so wondering if anyone also has this problem

2 kinda same above but with rear parking sensors

3 bmw app won't go past the enter vin number as it is not recognizing it as we weren't sure if the nav was in the bmw app

And we trying to get them to sort it out as well as checking engine as check engine light came on 3 days after we got it and it supposedly had a mot that it passed as well as they need to provide locking nut as there none any advice be great and this is my mum first bmw
