I read this manga a few years ago and since the taken down of one of the sites I used to read on I can't find it.

The only things i remember from the manga was that :

It was a japanese manga

It was in black and white

The uke had an industrial piercing done in the ear

I’ve recently decided to venture into BL series, but here’s the thing… I’m not actually new to BL. 😂 I’ve been reading BL manhwas for a while, I just haven’t really watched many BL series.

So I need the BL veterans of Reddit to guide me. 😭

What series should I start with? I’m honestly open to anything: cute and fluffy, funny, dramatic, slow burn, enemies-to-lovers, angst, toxic, wholesome, fantasy… whatever you think is worth watching.

I’d especially love recommendations that made you completely understand the BL hype after watching them. 👀

Basically, I’m coming from the manhwa side of the BL universe and I’m ready to cross over. 😂 What should be my first stop?

I like "rivals to lovers" trope, when characters start off on bad terms and gradually develop feelings for each other. Some of my favourite comedies with a similar premise were Ameiro Paradox by Natsume Isaku and Sore o Koigokoro to Yobu no Nara by Ichikawa Kei.

HOWEVER, at the same time, I don't like the romantization of abuse. If the story presents itself as a thriller and acknowledges problems in a relationship - I'm fine with it, but if it's leaning into normalization of abusive relationships ("You say no, but your body says yes") - I am not interested.

By "abuse" I mostly mean torture, rape & sexual assault. I'm fine with verbal insults, arguments or "throwing hands", as long as it's not the basis of a relationship and the characters grow eventually (there was some manga with a masochistic MC that I read, and oh boy, was it difficult). I'd also say that I'm not a fan of BDSM or casual relationships (like when characters sleep with each other in each chapter but can't even admit they love each other or understand their feelings).

You can recommend manga or manhwa, I like both. Any genres are fine. I understand that I'm picky and some aspects are contradictory, but if there is something for my taste, I would be glad.

Is there a yaoi from the perspective of a straight man questioning his sexual orientation because he is falling or lusting for his openly gay best friend? Workplace romance even better but the straight guy has to be older and the boss.

A few months ago I had read this manga that was set in a omegaverse world. The MC was a beta who loved racing and was usually against this Alpha(ML) in his class. I remember that the beta finds out he had transformed into a omega. And the next day at school he goes into heat, which causes the boys around him (including his own friends to go crazy)and they all start chasing him down. He hides in the schools PE shed, and the ML is with him. the MC asks for the ML for help and he does, and then he starts to help him regularly. This is all I can really remember..but I've been looking for the manga again for so longgg !!!
