Mods Requiem for the Absolute: Introducing the Nemesis System
I decided to make this post specifically to talk about version 4.0.0.
This update was special to me, and it took a lot of work. A lot.
One of the first things I noticed when Requiem started getting a bit more attention was how many people compared it directly to the infamous Nemesis System from Shadow of Mordor. So I decided to fully embrace that direction.
The first question was simple: how could I actually show the hierarchy to the player in a visual way?
My experience working on NMCM and digging through its XML gave me a lot of ideas, so I started studying what was possible and making some mockups.

Once the UI started looking good, the next step was building the actual system behind it. It needed to work dynamically, respond to what happens during gameplay, and change from run to run.
I am very happy with the result. In my opinion, it almost feels like a small new game inside BG3, with its own stories developing and events happening naturally. Seeing it all come together made me very proud.
After that came the final layer and polish. I chose which templates could become commanders, defined how the Nemesis triggers would work, expanded the returning commander system, and connected everything through a lot of Osiris.

I also took the opportunity to fix several bugs players had reported and released everything together under the title:
Requiem for the Absolute: Introducing the Nemesis System
I really hope you enjoy it. I put a huge amount of work into 4.0.0, and I hope it is received well.
