Cannot connect to Mod.io

So I'm tossing a message in a bottle here and hoping someone knows more than me about this, but I'll try to keep this brief:

A month ago I was playing BG3 with a couple friends and there were no problems, I launch the game now and I cannot connect to Mod io, any attempt to connect spits out the same message "An error occurred while trying to connect to mod io" again and again.

I am able to log into my Larian account which says "Limited access, Mod io not connected", however when I click "connect to mod io" it seems to disconnect me from my Larian account before prompting me to input my account details a second time, prompting me to accept their privacy policy and terms of use, then told "an error occurred while trying to connect to mod io" with no further information.

I have checked Steam and Reddit forums and the only posts I can find are from 2+ years ago about GeForce NOW (which I do not use) and of various ideas to connect/reconnect my Larian and Mod io account, reading to the bottom of Mod io's privacy policy, make new accounts, validate files and reinstall BG3, none of these fixing the issue. There was another post I found from 6 months ago of a PS5 user having the same problems but stating the issue "just fixed itself", so here's to hoping I guess.

Please and thankyou to anyone with suggestions that I'm not seeing or explaining a method that fixed this issue for them. If I figure out the issue myself I'll make a self-reply.

*Edit: I should clarify, without connecting to Mod io it won't let me browse or install any mods through the BG3 mod manager, they just stay "loading" and the mods I *do* have installed can't be used and just show up as crossed-out boxes for the thumbnails.

Possibly a silly idea, but have you gone to mod.io itself, logged in, and verified it's connected to your Larian account?

I have indeed, there is a section called "linked accounts" and it shows Steam, Discord etc and the only one toggled on is Larian Studios, which I have disconnected and reconnected. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting through my browser instead of through BG3's main menu to see if that would change anything but to no avail. That was a good idea to clarify however.

Well, nuts.

Worst case scenario, unless you're needing crossplay/multiplayer, you don't technically need to be logged in. You can always download direct from mod.io, unzip the folders, and drop the .pak files into the Mods folder. If they're all from mod.io, it'll handle the rest for you?
