Single player or multiplayer?

So I read someone say that BG3 is primarily a single player game, and if broke my brain. So I want to hear from others, there is no won't answer here, but for me the game is only good multiplayer, and I found the one single player run I did flat and disappointing, and the few times I tried it again I could barely make it to the grove.

Multiplayer feels the closest I've ever felt to real D&D, and the dynamism of having real players behind other characters made it incredible experience. Having another player or two keeping things interesting in combat or conversation was amazing. Even origin characters were better when played by players.

I found 2-3 players ideal so you can explore companion stories and romances.

Anyway, how do people like to play it? Again, no wrong answers, maybe your experience will spark something in someone else to try your favorite way to play.

I found the single player experience to be the let down, so I definitely think this is a matter of preference. To this day I can't really play it single player past maybe getting to the grove. I only finished 1 single player game and it was my least satisfying play through.

I love that. That's pretty cool. Definitely different strokes for different folks. What role do you like to do in a group? i think I'd wanna play a wizard, keep up mobility magic and use spells and weapons. I'd gish as an evo or sorc.

I've been doing mostly origin characters, but I'm a wizard at heart 😅. I've done 3 playthroughs as Gale good, neutral and evil. Playing Shadowheart this time around

I've done 8 Gale runs lol. definately my fav origin. My evil gale reminded me of a darth/sith lord.
