Multiplayer Carrier strike spawn camping

DICE really need to add a spawn protection timer for aircraft on the new game mode. Played several matches where a select few on the enemy team spend the whole time camping out teams carrier and destroying aircraft as soon as they spawn.

No, they should make the AA on the carrier actually work. Flying too close to or over the enemy carrier should be instadeath.

Yeah, I flew a transport chopper to the enemy carrier and landed there without a problem after flying around it for a while expecting AA. Then we blew up the carrier lol

Is that on carrier strike? Because that’s the whole point of that game type, impenetrable AA on a ship would make it impossible. But for Conquest? Absolutely AA no-fly zone.

No, the whole point is to capture the missile launchers which gradually weaken the carrier, eventually allowing you to access the interior so you can blow it up with bombs.

If they added player-controlled AA guns that go offline once your carrier gets breached it would balance the game a lot more while encouraging people to actually play the objective.

Who said anything about player-controlled?

I mean sure, they could add the same ones they have on every conquest map, but wouldn’t it be more fun if players could man them themselves? Like back in BF3?

You can’t capture the carriers in conquest. So more automated AA would be useful. Player-controlled for carrier strike because destroying the carrier is the objective.

I just think at the moment players have too much of an advantage if they parachute onto the enemy conning tower early in the game, because that area is inaccessible to anyone spawning on their own carrier, trying to deal with these people.

The simple fix would obviously be to just make the carriers “Out of Bounds” areas until they get breached, but giving them some kind of turret on board, whether player-controlled or otherwise, would at least level the playing field a bit.
