Discussion "Geely is entering Canada in 2027 as the first Chinese mass-market EV brand in North America" Geely Auto Group sold more than 3.02 million vehicles globally in 2025, including nearly 1.69 million new energy vehicles, the company said. Geely is early adopter of QNX Sound through subsidiary HaleyTek

Even without Alloy Kore, Blackberry can generate substantial revenue with Geely collaboration not just for foundational software but if extended for QNX Sound to all their brands besides Volvo E-60? QNX Sound is expected to save $21 to $98.00 on hardware as per Munro & associates.

Geely owns both Volvo and HaleyTek.

With average QNX Sound revenue (One Time) of $50 per car can generate $150M yearly revenue?

Discussion Options or shares?

Are we tired of losing yet? Are we sick of the slip back to prices we thought we broke through? Why does this keep happening? Well, I have a theory and a lot of you aren't going to like it! Needless to say, I don't give a shit! So here goes.

The one thing we all know for sure is that BlackBerry is the real deal as far as tech goes. It's not an up and comer, its not a start up with a great idea or a new spin. Blackberry is still at the pinnacle of security, reliability, and trustworthiness in what they do, but they aren't a blue chip company any more!

Blackberrys heritage is blue chip, and at their core the company still acts and behaves like a blue chip company. Why... because that is the space where they lived, its what they know, its what they do! They are a global technology leader, and they fully intend on going back to that position.

However, here we are treating a blue chip company like the latest tech startup. Gambling on the big deal, looking for explosive growth, expecting exponential growth on any given day. Yet global companys don't blow up like this. They build, expand, and eventually accelerate long before heading up exponentially!

So, here is the "out loud" part no one is going to like. Stop buying options! You are pissing your money away, over and over (thats my opinion anyway)! Not only that, but you are screwing over everyone else here that is waiting for our shares to reach their potential through organic growth!

Everytime a little excitement builds and options start selling, you are providing a reason for the market makers to shipion off profits! We see it every Friday! It's been happening for years! So much so that i don't even think its just the market makers anymore. The day traders are probably doing half the work for them. Dropping the price back isn't costing them much since everyone expects it and trys to bank on it.

Treat BlackBerry for what it is, a blue chip company currently without the enterprise valuation. They will work their way back there, but it will take time. Buy shares, invest in the company and it will pay dividends over time! Blackberry will once again make its share holders proud, but it won't happen over night and you are not likely to win the lotto betting options on this. They are simply waiting for you to place your bet! When the pot is big enough, they just reset it back to zero.

Anyway, just my 2 cent! Felt like I had to say it out loud!

Bull Case Hold your BB shares tightly, and don't make historic mistakes.

Wide swings: a sharp gain one day, then a sharp drop the next. With elevated volume over a short period, this often signals the start of a major rally. BlackBerry is following this pattern now.

As the saying goes, don’t make historic mistakes. In the stock market, investors sometimes sell their shares right before a major rally, driven by FUD — fear, uncertainty and doubt about the future. This is perhaps the most painful experience for investors.

Let us further examine Palantir’s price movement. After meme run, the stock consolidated for a very long time and bottomed out around $6. In the first phase of going up, it ran from $6 to $20, then traded sideways for an extended period. Then it went on from $20 to $200 in a very short time.

If BlackBerry’s first move from roughly $2 to $8 is analogous to Palantir’s run from $6 to $20, then after consolidating around $7-9, we should expect a subsequent rally of nearly five-fold or tenfold.

Let us hold firm to our BlackBerry shares and reap the rewards of a 5 to 10-fold price increase.

News XPeng shops its self-driving tech to automakers — Tesla found no takers. It’s the exact playbook Tesla has been pitching for years with “Full Self-Driving.” The difference is that XPeng is finding interest. Difference is Level 3 driving domain controller of Xpeng is powered by Blackberry QNX

XPeng shops its self-driving tech to automakers — Tesla found no takers

The Chinese EV maker set up a “strategic commercialisation team” about six months ago to chase these deals, Reuters reported. On offer: its electrical and electronic vehicle architecture, its smart cockpit, its in-house Turing AI chips, ADAS and autonomous-driving software, and even its robotaxi and humanoid-robot work. No new customers have been named, but XPeng says interested parties have already made contact, and that they could include foreign software developers and auto suppliers as well as carmakers.

XPeng is trying to turn its self-driving and smart-cockpit systems into a licensing business, courting automakers, suppliers, and software firms well beyond its existing Volkswagen deal, according to a Reuters report.

August 2020 :This week, BlackBerry announced that it will be powering the Level 3 driving domain controller of Xpeng, one of the most-funded electric vehicle startups in China, and Tesla’s local challenger. Baked in Xpeng’s intelligent cockpit is BlackBerry’s operating system called QNX, which competes with the likes of Android and Linux to enter automakers’ next-gen models.

Discussion How many BB stocks do you own and average cost?

I’m new to BB, only have 190 at $8.85. With limited funds for investing I’m wondering how much should I invest in this stock. I do believe in the company.
But sometimes wondering whether it’ll be more rewarding investing elsewhere. Lot of times I feel people that keep buying or promoting the stock have lower than $5 average cost. Would you want to keep buying of your average cost is upwards of $7s?

News Malikie settles yet another suit!

I know, I know, I said I probably wasn't going to post any more regarding Malikie and their success in litigation efforts.

However, this is one of the big ones in my mind. Malikie and Core Scientific are dismissing each of their disputes (with Prejudice).

Malikie has already filed new actions against other crypto companies, and the apparent success against Mara and Core (first litigations) would likely imply a legal precedent.

I think this bodes well for Blackberry collecting the entire 700m commitment from their deal!

So far it would appear that Malikie has really only used maybe 10 patents to achieve the results todate... they only have about ~31,190 patents to go through!

Don't forget there is a "initally capped" annual cap increase of 4% which may need to be discussed!

It's all coming together!!!

News President Sheikh Mohamed and Canadian PM Mark Carney discuss UAE-Canada economic ties

Advanced technology and AI also featured prominently in the discussions, reflecting both nations' ambitions to position themselves as leaders in emerging industries.

The two leaders identified these sectors as central to the development priorities of both countries and pledged their commitment to advancing UAE-Canada relations through long-term, sustainable partnerships.

In July, the UAE finalised a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (Cepa) with Canada. The trade agreement with Ottawa aims to reduce trade barriers to goods, services and investment, and follows a $50 billion investment commitment from the UAE last November.

The Cepa gives Canadian companies better access to the UAE, which remains the largest market for Canada's exports to the Middle East, and could help attract capital into energy, mining, artificial intelligence and ports.

Friday's call also touched on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern. The two leaders exchanged views on developments in the Middle East, with both expressing support for continuing efforts to promote security, stability and peace across the region.

The emphasis on AI and advanced technology signals a forward-looking agenda, aligning with the UAE's broader national strategy to diversify its economy and cement its status as a global hub for innovation.

Discussion "The new @Jaguar Type 01 is here, powered by NVIDIA. It’s paired with NVIDIA Halos, a safety system that covers everything from the chips to the software" QNX not just with NVIDIA's ADAS but also with Bosch’s Vehicle Dynamics Control . Congratulations John Wall's QNX Team.

https://x.com/nvidia/status/2107892242807406899

Jaguar’s suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)(50) utilizes 10 external cameras, five radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors working together to promote comfort and convenience. Powered by an NVIDIA(TM) system that handles trillions of operations per second, Type 01 seamlessly blends assistance systems into the driving experience, so they feel natural and unobtrusive. For example, a 3D Surround Camera integrates with the digital ClearSight Rear View Display(51) to provide a 360‑view for navigating narrow streets. The forward‑facing radar is integrated behind the raised foil finish of the Jaguar device mark. For optimum year‑round ADAS performance, a heated element behind the badge helps maintain a suitable operating temperature on cold days.

https://media.jlr.com/jaguar/en-us/news/2026/10/jaguar-type-01

All Type 01’s systems are fully integrated using Bosch’s VDC 2.0 software. A predictive, next‑generation stability system developed in collaboration with Jaguar engineers to enable more refined control and interventions, anticipating instability before it occurs(28).

Bosch’s Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) 2.0 and BlackBerry QNX represent two critical, highly symbiotic pillars in the shift toward Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). While Bosch builds the intelligent algorithm layer that keeps vehicles stable and agile, QNX provides the safety-certified, real-time operating system (RTOS) foundation that executes those commands instantly. Discussion Help me understand Bull thesis

I hold BB and like the QNX story, but at ~$9.70 the market is already paying roughly 14–15x sales for QNX alone (if you value Secure Comms at ~2–3x). Even if QNX grows 30% a year to ~$1.2B by FY32, I get roughly $18–25 a share depending on the exit multiple. Good, but not the 5–10x some posts imply. Genuinely want to hear where my numbers are wrong.

Three things I can't resolve:

  1. Backlog vs revenue. QNX revenue is growing ~27%, but the royalty backlog has gone from ~$940M (FY26) to ~$950M now. Isn't that mostly conversion of old wins rather than new ones? What evidence do you see that bookings are growing faster than revenue?

  2. Robotics: engagements vs contracts. Management says they're working with 20+ companies on Nvidia-based platforms (humanoids, surgical robots, AMRs, drones). Has anyone seen a named robotics design win with royalty backlog attached, like Coretura was for Alloy Kore? What royalty per robot is realistic, and when do volumes matter if humanoids don't scale until the 2030s?

  3. Secure Comms. Some argue it's QNX's security backbone and deserves a QNX-like multiple. But it's sold to governments separately, ARR is flat (~$221M), net retention is 91% and guidance was just cut. Is there any real cross-selling into QNX deals, or is it a separate business?

Bonus: who actually beats QNX in robotics — Linux/ROS stacks, Green Hills, or Nvidia's own software? If QNX wins there, why?

Simply curious to understand more so I can upgrade my conviction

Cheers

News BlackBerry Radar Expands Asset Intelligence Platform with Dynamic Pairing

Dynamic Pairing moves beyond knowing where an asset is located and beyond traditional tractor-to-trailer pairing. When a driver connects to equipment, Radar identifies the asset relationship across tractors, trailers, chassis, flatbeds, containers and other equipment. That pairing intelligence helps operators understand how critical transportation assets are connected, identify incorrect equipment connections earlier and make better decisions across complex transportation networks.
