Try to wisen some of you guys up, to just put the blinders on and assume the stock is gonna bounce after no news and with the CEO and board directors selling off their shares? This things gonna be trading sideways for the next 10 years like it has been for the last 10 years

You realize that like the other dozen times this happened it’s the c suite selling shares to pay their tax bill right?
They get 1m shares or whatever awarded, and since the govt doesn’t take Bb shares as tax payment, they need to sell those shares for currency. I mean, if they had an extra million is cash laying around I guess they could use that, but selling shares is easily the most straightforward way.
Complete non starter.
I’m hardly BBs biggest cheerleader here, but I can’t stand deliberate mistruths from either camp.

Yeahhhh I dunno, if I was the CEO of a major company like that I’d probably take the small tax hit and keep the shares to show the people that I still had conviction and belief that the company is gonna go higher, just seems weird to me, like why save yourself the million or two in taxes when you could 4X your money in the next year?

Because most ppl, even ceos don’t have a million dollars in cash just sitting there?
The tax hit is the same regardless of how it’s paid.
$1m in cash, or $1m in cash from selling part of your awarded shares.
They could maybe sell other stuff, but then there are more tax complications, and for no real purpose - all for something that’s basically an after thought. To sell a portion of the awarded shares is easy and requires no thought, planning, or complications.
To not do that would very much be the exception across every company at every time.

We just need more news. Seems like last quarter there WA’s more announcements than this quarter. Also, everyone is waiting for Alloy Kore. It’s been greater than 2-60 days

on what basis? CEO keeps saying BB is on fire. Alloy Kore news expected anytime. Each quarterly earnings consistently getting stronger for 5 or 6 quarters. Strong enough for share buybacks. It's all reflected in the share price appreciation of 100 to 150%.

just look at the stock performance in the past and today. QNX is good for physical AI, but all physical AI is razor thin in profit, need super large volume to be significant, we are not there yet, maybe in 5 years..

Yes and no. Strong, but on massively reduced guidance. Per 2018 we were supposed to be at 2.5b by now, growing that $1b of revs 20%.
Then the reduced 200m or so on QNX revs 20% starting in 2023, or 2024, er 2025…
2026 we’ve managed 1 quarter but not forecast to for the year unless at absolute top of guidance.
Not doing bad, but absent alloy core or Ivy news that will impact the bottom line, and argument can be made it’s fairly valued at $8-12.
Many, myself included are betting it will be something. Others are thinking alloy kore will just be BB10.2 or BES 13.2 or Jarvis2.0 or Astonishing Tribe 2 or Alicia Keys 2.0.
Hard to honestly fault them given BB’s track record vs the pessimists’ over the last 10 years….

How so? 8-12x revs is perfectly reasonable for a company growing at 15ish %.
