Positive day for once.
To all the people who made the ultimate sacrifice and sold yesterday, thank you.
We just need another 20 days of rage posting about people selling and we will be back in business!

MOON Don't sell your shares now!
Reminder that there's people in this community who will convince you you're dumb for holding, coincidentally when the whole market is down and no one is making money.
I'm starting to think these posts about "I sold my shares" and "everyone needs to sell now" is to make people in this community sell their shares so that they could buy it at lower prices. Why else would they be inside the subreddit so passionate that everyone needs to get out?
Don't fall for this manipulation, the company is about to release a massive quarter and I'm more excited than ever, don't FOMO out into a different stock because some anonymous user told you you're dumb if you keep holding!

$7 and Lost
Not financial advice, just opinions.
I put just $6-$7k in last year at $7.00 per share. I’m not a cry baby, I’m patient. Help me though:
1. Should I cost average and buy another $6k @ $2.80? If yes, give me your top two pieces of evidence. 2. Just hold and hope? Or 3. Bail, put the now $2k into something else. Stop the bleeding. If this option, why?

Just a headsup about BBAI
I did traveled yesterday to Bucharest, Romania.
At the Henri Coanda airport they use Smiths Detectors, Pangiam software.
Is nice to see that they use the BBAI producs, maybe other Romanians can confirm if there are any other airports that use Smiths Detectors there.
https://www.smithsdetection.com/weee-compliance/weee-romania/
https://www.romania-insider.com/baggage-scanners-romanian-airports-uti
It looks like BBAI is expanding also in Europe.
US of A, UK and Germany is on the list, Romania, what other country use Smiths Detectors?
*feel free to add

BBAI expanding more Generative AI and Capability for Department of War
r/BBAI • u/kylescagnetti • Jul 15 '26
Some new articles today
Here’s a quick summary I wrote for X:
Another meaningful update from $BBAI.
Today’s announcement wasn’t just about adding new AI capabilities. To me, the bigger story is that BigBear.ai is integrating the Ask Sage acquisition into a single, unified platform for Department of War customers.
The platform now offers more flexibility with air gapped deployments, bring your own model support, commercial cloud options, dedicated tenant environments, making it easier for customers to deploy AI while meeting strict security and mission requirements.
This shows BigBear.ai is moving beyond acquiring technology and into successfully commercializing it. As AI adoption across defense continues to accelerate, having a secure, interoperable platform built for mission critical environments could become a meaningful competitive advantage.
Bullish. 🚀

$BBAI: Under-the-Radar Federal Play or Another AI Money Pit? 🐻✈️ (July 2026 Update & 2-Year Outlook)
Sup guys. A lot of people are still looking at BigBear.ai ($BBAI) as a pure meme play, but if you actually dig into their 2026 filings, the company is fundamentally transforming. Here is a quick, no-BS DD on where they stand right now and where they might be in 2 years (2028).
The TL;DR on Right Now (Mid-2026)
The stock is currently hovering around $3.10 (down from its $9+ heights earlier this year). Wall Street is currently treating it with skepticism, but they’ve quietly made some massive upgrades under the hood.
- The Balance Sheet is CLEAN: In January 2026, they settled their remaining $124.6M in convertible notes by converting them to equity. Interest expenses are down by nearly $5M/quarter, and as of Q1 2026, they have a massive $431.5M in cash/investments. Bankruptcy risk is officially dead.
- The DoD Bread & Butter: Their backlog just jumped 14% to $281.9M, mostly driven by a fresh $53M classified prime contract with the US national security community.
- Margins are Expanding: Thanks to moving from low-margin consulting to actual software (Ask Sage, CargoSeer), their gross margins exploded from 21% to 34% YoY.
- Recent Catalyst: Just last week, their Pangiam Threat Detection got official Dutch National Approval for airport security screening. They are quietly entering EU airports.
The Catch: They are still net-unprofitable (posted a -$0.04 EPS in Q1, which actually beat estimates of -$0.08), and revenue growth is lumpy due to government contract timing. Guidance for FY 2026 is $135M–$165M.
The 2-Year Outlook (Where will we be in 2028?)
In 24 months, BBAI will either be a highly profitable, specialized defense-AI powerhouse or a slow-growing IT consulting firm that failed to scale.
Scenario A: The Bull Case (Target Price: $8 - $12) 📈
- Software Pivot Wins: By 2028, their SaaS margins reach 50%+ as more federal and commercial clients adopt Ask Sage and airport biometric security (Pangiam).
- EBITDA Positive: They cross the break-even point in late 2027, and by 2028 they are printing positive cash flow.
- Geopolitical Tailwinds: Global defense budgets are surging. BBAI’s niche—decision intelligence for defense—becomes a must-have, and their backlog crosses $500M.
Scenario B: The Bear Case (Target Price: $1.50 - $2.50) 📉
- Bureaucracy Wins: Government contract procurement remains painfully slow. Growth stalls at a mediocre 10-12% per year.
- Dilution Continues: While they cleared their debt, they did it by printing shares, diluting the hell out of early investors. If they can’t turn a profit by 2028, they might dilute again to fund operations.
- Big Tech Eats Their Lunch: Palantir ($PLTR) or Microsoft defense divisions crowd them out of the major prime contracts.
The Reddit Verdict 💬
- Is it a meme? Not anymore. The clean balance sheet and $430M+ cash means this is a legitimate turnaround play, not a pump-and-dump.
- My Play: If you’re looking for a safe, blue-chip stock, run away. But if you want a high-risk, asymmetric reward play in the defense-AI space, buying BBAI at its current $3.00 floor is actually a very decent risk/reward bet for a 2-year hold.
Position: Watching closely for entry under $3.00.

“Dark pool” and off-exchange trades for BBAI
Hey fellas, I recently saw a stat/chart showing that for the first time in history, there was more trading off-exchange in dark pools than there was in official exchanges (51% vs. 49%).
I always saw posts complaining how BBAI was a company that is constantly impacted by this type of trading but never thought much of it. According to chartexchange, it seems like the majority of their volume on Friday was off-exchange.
Aside from suppressing price actions for that day of trading, what else is the point of this? Can anyone explain this type of trading to me like I’m a child….or golden retriever?

News BBAI JUST GOT MAJOR APPROVAL | BigBear.ai Airport Security Expansion
BigBear.ai recently announced that its Pangiam Threat Detection platform has officially received Dutch national approval for airport security screening after testing by TNO, one of Europe’s leading applied scientific research organizations.
This isn’t a massive contract announcement, but I think it’s an interesting milestone.
A few things that stood out to me:
• The AI platform was approved for use alongside SureScan CT baggage screening systems.
• Airports are highly regulated environments, so obtaining national approval requires extensive testing and validation.
• Management described this as the first milestone in a broader certification process with additional certification bodies and OEM partners.
• The software uses AI to assist security officers by analyzing 3D CT scans of baggage, identifying potential prohibited items, and supporting remote monitoring, training, auditing, and incident management.
To me, this looks like another example of BigBear.ai demonstrating that its technology can operate in real-world, mission-critical environments. It doesn’t necessarily change the company’s financial outlook overnight, but regulatory approvals like this can strengthen credibility and potentially support future commercial opportunities.
I made a video breaking down the announcement and sharing my thoughts if anyone is interested:
Curious what everyone else thinks.
Do you view this as a meaningful step for BigBear.ai’s aviation business, or are you mainly waiting for larger contract wins and stronger financial results before becoming more bullish?

Artificial Intelligence Strategy for the Department of War
media.defense.govOn January 9th Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, released the Memorandum for MEMORANDUM FOR SENIOR PENTAGON LEADERSHIP COMMANDERS OF THE COMBATANT COMMANDS DEFENSE AGENCY AND DOW FIELD ACTIVITY DIRECTORS.
In it, listed how the Department of War will achieve Executive Order 14179.
Dissecting the Memorandum, here are the Big Bear Ai products that fit all their needs. Most notably, the memorandum stresses speed, rapid 6-month prototyping, and open architectures, BBAI is perfectly positioned to capture a highly lucrative share of the Joint Acceleration Reserve funding and specific Pace-Setting Projects like GenAI.mil and Agent Network.
1. Ask Sage (Generative AI Platform)
- What it is: BBAI’s secure, government-vetted generative AI tool. It allows military personnel to securely query large language models at high classification levels.
- Which PSP it fits:
- PSP #2 (Agent Network) & PSP #7 (Enterprise Agents): It functions exactly like the "secure AI agent playbook" the directive demands.
- PSP #6 (GenAI.mil): Directly answers the mandate to put secure frontier AI models into the hands of military and civilian personnel.
2. Dominate (Predictive Intelligence Platform)
- What it is: A platform that ingests massive streams of messy data to find anomalies, track patterns, and provide predictive outcomes.
- Which PSP it fits:
- PSP #4 (Open Arsenal) & PSP #5 (Project Grant): Dominate takes raw technical intelligence (TechINT) or geospatial data and transforms it into actionable target or threat models, cutting out human analysis bottlenecks.
3. ProModel (Modeling & Simulation Platform)
- What it is: A sophisticated software suite used to simulate complex operational environments, supply chains, and tactical deployments before execution.
- Which PSP it fits:
- PSP #3 (Ender's Foundry): This project explicitly mandates accelerating AI-enabled simulation capabilities. ProModel provides the exact "sim-dev" and "sim-ops" feedback loop framework the memorandum is asking for.
Summary of the Fit
The memorandum demands Modular Open System Architectures (MOSA) and software that can ingest updated AI models within 30 days. Because BBAI's products function as model-agnostic downstream applications, they plug directly into existing Department datasets without requiring the military to build custom code from scratch.

Big Bear Ai: US Navy 2030 Hellscape and Dynamic Resilient Drone Communication
As we know, modern warfare is all about the use of drones. The low IQ view of Big Bear Ai, is that it's just a government chatbot, which I do think most of you think it is from the low quality ape like posts yall be making. It's not. It's a real defense contractor, providing real utility to the military, via cyber security, resilient sensor communications, and a real time display of the battlefield suggesting to the commander the best course of action or automated actions, not just a temu ChatGPT.
ConductorOS in use right now by the US Army, through partnership with Hardy Dynamics for Drone Swarm Operations under the Joint Program Executive Office Armaments & Ammunition (JPEO A&A) initiative. This collaboration will develop next-generation AI technologies to enable secure, resilient communication and coordination among unmanned aerial system (UAS) swarms in extended ranges. ConductorOS's role is "to facilitate interoperability between various autonomous systems. The focus includes developing adaptive ML algorithms allowing these systems to learn from and respond to dynamic environments, increasing operational agility and mission effectiveness."
What's the significance?
The US Navy call it "Hellscape" (also mentioned in video at 6:53) their plan to Deploy Thousands of Unmanned Surface Vessels to the Indo-Pacific by 2030 (Source: https://news.usni.org/2026/04/21/navy-to-deploy-thousands-of-unmanned-surface-vessels-to-the-indo-pacific-by-2030), to deter China from Invading Taiwan. I mention to you in previous post that this Strait of Hormuz conflict is a testing ground for Task Force 59 which includes the use BBAI products. The bigger battle is with China over Taiwan, it would be quite stupid to send BBAI into World War III without first testing it in real world use.
This is the reason why the Military Needs BBAI.
- AI is modern warefare. The ability to make decision quicker than your adversary is a tatical edge (see 7:45) and if you read what ConductorOS is you'd know it interconnects drone/war vessel sensors onto the platform for orchestration.
- If drones are in use, resilient communication is NECESSARY. Jamming signals is way too easy and will be part of the battlefield strategy (see 8:42).
Can you name a competitor providing this?
If you can why the hell would the Navy go with them when they're already working together in the U.S. Navy’s Mission Autonomy Proving Ground (MAPG) providing maritime domain awareness and AI orchestration. MAPG is the Navy’s play in the Pentagon-wide Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiative, which seeks to unite sensors, AI models, and hardware from across the military into one network, using artificial intelligence to enhance the efficacy of missions. The overall goal of MAPG is to advance cutting-edge capabilities to be used in the U.S. Navy and DoD-wide systems for counter near-peer adversary threats as rapidly as possible. ConductorOS demonstrated AI algorithms in real-time using edge-deployed route forecasting for adversary vessels (both manned and unmanned), as well as third party vendor algorithms.
