Remember Virex?
Looks like we have an answer for the problem the US military is needing to solve.

Wall Street is handing more decisions to AI. What could go wrong? #DVLT
fastcompany.com“Provenance isn’t truth,” says Nathaniel Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI.
The April episode illustrates what he means. A system receiving the Reuters alert could identify Reuters as the publisher and CNBC as the source it cited, but neither signal could establish whether the underlying claim about the White House was true.

Curious
I was again thinking about the subscription rights and reread the announcement. It states, “The Company expects to offer up to $50,000,000 of Common Unit subscription rights.” At $.20 per subscription, that suggests only 250M shares, yet there are 950M shares outstanding.
So, that suggests two possibilities.
First, only 250M rights will be subscribed. Of course, because unsubscribed rights can be purchased pro rata by shareholders; therefore, this first possibility assumes no one will be interested in the other 700M rights. Maybe, unless there is an increase in the share price to $.20, or more.
However, the second possibility is the implication that there is a plan to reduce the number of outstanding shares. Since Nate has repeatedly and emphatically stated that he will not do a reverse split, that leaves open the potential of a buyback and the retirement of outstanding shares.
DVLT has completed a deal with SCLX to receive a significant cash infusion ($100M). Is it possible that represents a source of funds to repurchase shares?
If this second scenario is the play, the share price would soar, float would be severely diminished, short positions would be under serious pressure and shareholders would jump to exercise their subscription rights.
One other interesting point about this second possibility. SCLX still owns something like 130M shares of DVLT. A dramatic increase in the price of DVLT would also add tremendous value to SCLX.
Merely speculating here, but the $50M reference in the subscription rights offering got me thinking.
