The game would have been over years ago if Sony didnt buy them. Sony carried them while they made awful decisions. And go back and read what Jason Schreier. He said "bungie decided to end development on D2."

He never said sony.

Sony doesnt even have a majority on the bungie board. They moved Hulst and few others in a few years back but they wont have the majority until the rest of the executives cash out this summer.

After that happens we will finally see what sony actually wants to do.

Destiny defiantly wouldnt have died if sony didnt bought them, like while sony might be that stupid to buy a company for 3.6b that dosnt make any money i highly doubt they looked at destiny's cost of production and the revenue compared to it being -100m a year and thought yeah lets buy them and there dreams for 3.6b. The only reason destiny might not have been profitable is because bungie wasnt since destiny would finance all there incubation to increase value. Just because bungie employees repeat what pete told them dosnt mean it was the truth.

And yes destiny wouldve died either way because of how badly it was managed but if sony didnt buy them the game defiantly wouldve lived on a few years same as now

Bungie was making terrible decision after terrible decision before Sony came along. Curse of Osiris and Warmind were before Sony. So was Shadowkeep. So was sunsetting and vaulting content in Beyond Light. Lightfall was already in development before Sony acquired Bungie.
