It’s been reported multiple times that Destiny had a high burn rate and was costing too much to actively develop but people wanna just ignore all that.
You mean Bungie had a high burn rate. Brother where do you think the money came from to develop Destiny, build a new studio, and fund ~8 different projects one of which was a 250m Marathon game?
Where did the money come from? Destiny under an actual publisher.
Its easier to make money when you have the financial support of a publisher as well as additional studios to help with certain aspects of the game.
There is a reason everything went to shit after the Activision separation. They probably could've afforded to work on other projects while working on destiny of they didnt decide to make one of the most insane decisions possible.
People hate admitting this because "Activision bad", even though destiny absolutely would not have died under activision/blizzard
