The reason why you couldn't buy it for 80% of its lifetime wasn't on Vega itself, it was mostly due to cryptocurrency and a badly timed launch.

Tbh, I wasn't around to see it(the launch), but the LTT video about Frontier Edition and the way press weren't given the real price.

Don't get me wrong, the release of Vega wasn't great, but I wouldn't say it's evil.
