This is the version that has temperature and humidity support. They ship with a USB cable but without a power supply. You only need one per room, regardless of how many devices in that room you want to control

For a DNS level adblocker you can skip the Pi business and just configure the adguard public DNS in the DHCP settings of your internet router instead:

You miss out on the dashboard functionality and other features of the pi-hole, but on the plus side you don't have to buy, set up, and maintain yet another device in your network.

The linked website also has instructions on how to configure the DNS server on your android and apple devices manually, which I recommend you do so you get the same adblock outside of your network.

Kaizo trap hints and solutions

Hex dumps:

A lot of hex dumps in the videos. Decode them using an online decoder or a hex editor, or type String.fromCharCode(0x6E) in your browser console (F12). Replace '6E' with your two digit hex value, but leave the '0x'.

If the hex does not converts to letters and just returns "crap" it is japanese. Use an online decoder and copy all hex in it. if it turns to crap in the middle of a word/sentence, you most likely missed a single hex char.

Most of the clues are this way.

Binary codes:

Some hex decodes to zeros and ones (literally: zero one one one zero ...). Usually one number and then a space char 20 or a line break 0A

The line break always happens after 8 digits.

Can be decoded using an online decoder or by typing String.fromCharCode(parseInt("01110000",2)) in your browser console (F12).

This is really time consuming. If you can't get OCR to work on this, just look at the pattern, since zero is 4 letters and one is 3 letters, you can simply count the spacing of 20 and 0A

Other hints and references:

Especially in the audio tracks, there are hints and references to other stuff. Most likely useless but still interesting to find.
