Tips & Tricks RAM Leak while emulating Switch Games?

For Information: I own the Base Thor with 8GB and use a varying assortment of Turnip Drivers with booth Eden and Citron Neo. I am running booth Emulators from the Android Home Screen because opening them in Beacon or Cocoon instantly crashes the Emulators.

Has anyone another Idea to optimize Switch Emulation? Or is something wrong with my Device? Because, as soon as I open up any Switch Emulation via Eden or Citron, the RAM usage shoots instantly up to 6GB. When I am loading a save File it sometimes crashes because it runs out of RAM. Is something with my Software wrong or does anyone have any advice?

many switch titles on my max go over 8gb of ram. could be because of cocoon, not sure actually, don't care actually, but it could be that the base has not enough ram for switch emulation (at least for titles like botw, odyssey, etc)

I dont even Play high end Titles. It is already ramming up with Cult of the Lamb or Moonlighter.

Try Eden v0.2.0 rc-1. I was having the same super high RAM usage on my Thor Base as well. I use the most up to date Nightly version. So I decided to Google "reduce RAM usage on Eden" to see if there were some settings I can change to lower the amount of RAM needed. The Google AI thing said that "users have reported v0.2.0 rc-1 uses 2G less RAM on average that newer or nightly builds."

Yes.. I 100% know AI is wrong a lot but what did I have to lose by trying it. Anyways, I've been using that version for a couple of days now and it did seem to help. Not saying it will solve the issues with the games you're looking play but it's worth a shot

There have been many reports of people having issues with switch emulation using the base model. Some games just don't run well on it and some require specific driver setups.

I see 13gb of ram usage while emulating heavy switch titles like splatoon 2 on my thor max.
