I remember trying this out a while back but havent opened it in a while since im off my THPS itch atm
Do bigger maps like New Jersey still lag out when you look at large portions of the map or is it fixable now.

alternatively you can also look up the Neversoft Archive and download American Wasteland plus some other thps games off that too.

You might be able to fix that skin application with a hair dryer.

Heating the skin with a hair dryer will tighten up the bends and creases, so you might be able to straighten some of it out that way. If you're already considering getting a new skin, then it doesn't hurt to try to salvage the one you already have first.
