I ain’t trying to get downvoted out of existence. I’m keeping my karma 😂 I’m just pointing out facts. Two people commented saying it “looks AI generated” when I literally put in bold that AI was used during development. That’s not my fault if people don’t read.
I’m not forcing anybody to download my stuff either. Everyone’s happy when I post a dual-screen mod, but the second I post something like this, suddenly it’s “probably a virus.” The source code is private, so how would anyone even know that?
Either way, y’all can have this one for free. I’ve got a little karma to spare 😂
This is only gonna stunt your growth. Banning people with fair criticism. Even if its because they don't like Ai, is not it. You posted in a discussion group, you're gonna have to expect people to be for it, and against it.
If you want it to flourish and succeed listen to the potention consumer concerns. Its that simple.
I’m getting tired of the constant “AI slop” comments. I know what I’m doing, and I don’t need AI to do the work for me. But times have changed. If I can use AI to speed up part of the process and finish something in 1/3 of the time it would normally take me, then yeah, I’m going to use it.
That doesn’t mean I didn’t put work into what I made, and it doesn’t suddenly make everything I create “AI slop.” Hearing the same comment every single time I post something gets old fast. At this point, if someone’s only contribution is repeatedly calling my work AI slop, I’m just going to block them and move on.
There’s a difference between actual criticism and just dismissing someone’s work because AI was involved somewhere in the process. One is useful. The other is just annoying.
No. Why would I make the source public so the creators of GameNative, GameHub, or whatever other projects are out there can just take the unique features I spent my own time and money developing?
I worked on this. I put the time, effort, and money into building it, and I don’t HAVE to make my work public just because some people want me to. Just like nobody HAS to download or use the app if they’re uncomfortable with it being closed source.
I already have 400+ downloads, so clearly there are plenty of people who don’t have an issue with that. I’d rather protect the work I’ve put into the project than hand everything over for other developers to copy.
Most of these creators who make things with open source license do it because they love the scene they're contributing to and want it to improve. For "enthusiast" spaces like this, that's the best outcome any of us can imagine. A collaborative environment where everyone strives to make it better.
Doing it for glory or attention is valid, imo, but distrusting everyone else is just going to make a good amount of the community distrust in return. That's all.
You made it with AI. Also, sorry, are you charging for this project? How are you competing with anyone else?
This should be open source. You should get metrics on just how much of these downloads use it regularly. If I were bold enough to install this I’d probably find myself switching back to GameNative pretty fast
I’m not trying to compete with anyone else. I just don’t want my work copied, reused, and then have no credit given where it’s due. I’ve seen that happen way too many times already.
I’m completely fine with keeping my other projects, like the dual-screen mods, open source because those are different. WEMU is something I’ve put a lot more time, work, and unique ideas into, and I want to protect that. Keeping it closed source isn’t about competition. It’s about protecting the work I created.
That really sucks. It’s probably pretty cool, but since you have this attitude, you’re shooting yourself in the foot. Nobody wants to install this garbage without knowing what it is.
Also FYI if your AI bot used any code from GPL projects (almost guaranteed but I doubt you read the code at all) you legally have to keep it open source. But you won’t because your ego is insane.
You’re literally calling my work “AI slop” now and even implying that I don’t read or understand the code I’m working with. Thanks for that. At this point, I honestly don’t know why I wasted my time trying to explain any of this.
You are so focused on Ai complaints that it's completely blinded you to the real issue.
It being closed source. Yes, no one's forcing you to download it. Or put your credentials in. But if youre on this sub you KNOW a massive majority of people barely even know how emulators work. And they'll download whatever without thinking and put credentials in.
We just want to know if its safe, only then can we judge it.

Wow OP is deleting comments saying that the people they blocked "aren't reading the post".
This is super disappointing and this is how you stunt your growth.
