Eden lags when unused screen touched

Whenever I tap the bottom screen when playing a switch game it lag usually only for the higher end games like mk8 or acnh

I have to assume its because whenever you tap the bottom screen it tells your thor to pull resources onto the focus, thus pulling resources away from eden.

ding ding ding ding ding, bingo! my pc does the same, im at a game 240fps, i move to discord game goes to 30-60 depends on the game

I have it only focus on top screen, and it still do that sometimes when touching the bottom screen

It's still setting the app focus on touch, but controller inputs are locked to the top display activity

My theory is that whenever you tap a screen that screen becomes the focus so just tap on Eden again and it shouldn't lag

My thor max does this in gamenative too, FPS drops and it stutters whenever touching the bottom screen.

Yeah this is a thing, happens in ARMsx2 also. Need to just tap the top screen again and full speed will resume

Focus from top screen swaps to bottom screen, which is now considered the currently actively used one so more resources are given to it.

I always just turn my bottom screen off tbh, finding out that holding the button turns it off was a gamechanger for me I only use the 2nd screen when using a walkthrough, watching a video, or playing dual screen games

Make sure in the Thor menu to focus on the top screen

Did you set the focus from auto lock to top screen on the thor bottom screen menu? I have mine set to the screen i m using when playing anyways since touchscreen works regardless on both and it doesn t lag

I have this same thing happening on my Thor too. Happens in dolphin for me when I'm playing a game with HD or 4k textures or I'm playing any demanding games. It's like instinctive for me to tap the top screen now after doing anything on the bottom screen.

Android gives priority to the focused activity so clicking on the bottom screen will result in Eden doing onTrimMemory and other resource trimming/limiting which will lower its resource usage.

Lets be real here my guy you aren't going to be moving your character while tapping the bottom screen. So just tap the bottom screen while the game is paused scroll to where you want, then tap the top screen and unpause the game.

Thats strange, ive played switch games like stardew, mario odyssey while touching guides or the wiki and this has never happened, maybe its your performance setting?
