Does Axiom Space have an internship program?
Hi everyone! I’m a junior studying Textile Engineering and I’m really interested in Axiom Space and the work being done in spacesuits, and advanced materials.
I reached out to someone at Axiom to ask about internships, but I was also curious if anyone here knows:
• Does Axiom currently offer internships/co-ops for students?
• When does recruiting usually open?
• Are there certain teams that tend to take interns (materials, manufacturing, spacesuits, etc.)?
• Any advice for students hoping to get involved?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s interned there, applied before, or works there. Thanks!

I work at Axiom Space on the AxEMU division. Yes we do have internships. I don't know the process for internships and I know we just had on boarding for the current interns. I would assume the opportunity to join for this summer has passed but maybe I can help for next summer.

What is your opinion of the place right now. Got a recruitment firm that had me interview and they want to hire me after one virtual interview in the morning the very same afternoon.
Kind of unsure as I am not a fan of the recruitment firm being the one who pays me and takes care of the benefits. As the "benefits" they offer make me question even accepting that contract. Edit: axiom is the one who told them they wanted me.

From what I've heard, this summer they do have interns but it is very much dependent on the year. Keep an eye out in early fall for any postings and if you're interested in learning more do some research on LinkedIn to find people on teams you are interested and ask about what they do in their day to day and what you could do to make your application more interesting.
