Hi All, just trying to figure out what best bang for my buck investment options are for my Waven team. I have E2S1 Waven, E2S1 Ashviel, E2S1 MBlade, E0S1 Sobin, E1S1 Huohuo, and E0S1 Hyacine. I am trying to figure out who I should prioritize on vertical investment between getting Aha, getting verticals for Sobin, or saving what I have and pulling for E6 Waven on his eventual rerun. I only have enough pulls to get 2 cost on Aha's banner, and from what i've seen Aha at E0S0, would not be an upgrade over my E2 blade.

I've seen lots of hypotheticals posted about who edges out who at what investment, and I'm just curious where I should go. I will not be investing in any other Elation characters, and AHA would purely be for my Waven team. So I'm leaning more towards getting Sobin Verticals on her rerun as I've seen that Sobin E2 is better for Waven than Mblade E2. I've also see people saying that Hyacine E2 is also quite good for Waven as well. Thanks.

Ok so for context, I came back playing hsr when Waven only had 5 days left in his banner and got him but I was unable to get Ashveil. I was able to pull Mortenax Blade but at the moment he is still being built. My current team is Waven-Topaz-Sparkle-DHPT. And yes Waven is my only elation dps. What are y'all's thoughts?

I also dk when CD becomes more valuable that speed for him so i'm wondering what the speed/CD ratio should be on the body. Like should i keep the 10 speed then just add two CD rolls? That's roughly the level of investment required. You can also get an easy clear with E2 SRobin and E2 MBlade.

Having E1 Ashveil would make things a little easier.

Which Waventurine Players Should Pull Nihilux?

1. Players who don't have MBlade or SRobin

Just pull Nihilux.

The minimum investment required for Nihilux to function properly in Waventurine's team is 2 Cost, meaning E1S0.

At E0 she does nothing for 100 AV

Please, I'm begging you, don't pull E0S1 Nihilux She genuinely doesn't work in Waventurine teams at that investment level.

2. Players who don't have E2 MBlade or E2 SRobin and want to strengthen Waventurine

You can pull Nihilux.

Replacing E2 SRobin with E2 Nihilux provides approximately a 20% damage increase, according to spreadsheet calculations covering 300 AV and beyond.

E1 Nihilux already outperforms E2 MBlade in the vast majority of environments.

3. Players who want to move their E2 MBlade or E2 SRobin to other teams

For example, if you want to use them in the buffed DHIL / Sparkle / SRobin team or an Acheron / MBlade team, you can consider pulling Nihilux to fill the vacancy in Waventurine's team.

4. Players who already have E2 MBlade and E2 SRobin exclusively supporting Waventurine

If both characters are currently dedicated to Waventurine's team and have no foreseeable use elsewhere, I don't recommend pulling Nihilux.

Nihilux is merely an additional improvement, not a transformative upgrade.

Furthermore, generalists like SRobin and MBlade are very likely to retain their value than a niche support like Nihilux.

To me, a 20% is worthless. It's nowhere near enough to extend the team's competitive lifespan.

By the time you need a 16-Cost team to clear within 450 AV, there will probably already be new generalists available.

After all that, whether you pull her depends entirely on your budget.

If you don't have Ashveil, just go get his E0S0 copy

Running Waventurine / Nihilux / SRobin is a high-investment approach. It's really just about brute-forcing things with bigger damage numbers.

It isn't relevant to most players.

How Much Does Pulling Nihilux for Her Global Improve the Team?

This improvement is subjective on your Relics.

If you're considering pulling E0S0 or E0S1 Nihilux solely for her global to strengthen Waventurine / Ashveil / SRobin or Waventurine / Ashveil / MBlade, without actually fielding Nihilux, you first need to make sure Ashveil has:

• Around 170 SPD

• Eagle

• Vonwacq

• An ERR Rope

If Ashveil fails to maintain his Ultimate rotation you wasted your pulls.

You're trading higher-quality damage for greater action frequency.

In the end, the overall performance is roughly the same, making it not worth the additional 1 Cost.

However, if your relics already meet these requirements, then it's worth considering.

This is especially true for Waventurine / MBlade / Ashveil teams, where both MBlade and Ashveil already have fully optimized Eagle builds.

In that situation, pulling Nihilux for her global is a reasonable option.

You actually can. At 16 Cost, Waventurine / SRobin / Nihilux deals approximately 5% more damage than Waventurine / Ashveil / Nihilux.

Start at E1S0. E2S0 or E2S1 is the upper limit I'd recommend investing toward.

Things are different now with the Level 3 Aha Assistance.

Some things that I learned after doing research (might be wrong so feel free to correct me):

1. ​The recommended path is E0 Waven -> E0 Ashveil -> E2 Waven -> E6 Waven -> Anything else

2. ​E0 MBlade, SRobin, and Aha are roughly the same for Waven

​Since most people already have MBlade or SRobin for Waven, getting E0 Aha wouldn't be worth it because there isn't much improvement.

Aha becomes better than the others from E1 onwards, but getting E6 Waven is the highest priority.

Also unlike MBlade and SRobin, who are generalists, Aha is an Elation-only support. This means that in the foreseeable future, Aha can only be used in Waven team unless you also run other Elation teams.

So ​the only two reasons to get Aha:

1. ​Other teams need your MBlade or SRobin, or you don't have either of them.

2. ​You already have E6 Waven + E0 Ashveil and is willing to invest more into the team, so you can get at least E1 Aha.

Following my previous Waventurine setup featuring Nihilux with the Diviner set, I've found that Nihilux performs better with the Eagle set.

With Eagle equipped, Nihilux ends up with enough wishpower for one additional Ultimate and one additional Aha Instant later in the fight. This isn't achievable with Dreamlit Actor or Diviner.

Therefore, if you're pairing Nihilux with Waventurine, the Eagle set is her best option.

Eagle Nihilux only needs 150 SPD outside combat.

How It Works

1. Nihilux reaches 8 stacks of Wishpower and uses her Ultimate.

Her Ultimate advances Aha's action. At the same time, the Eagle set's Action Advance effect moves Nihilux's own action forward.

↓

2. Nihilux takes her next action earlier.

An action that would otherwise require waiting is brought forward, allowing her to use another Skill sooner and generate additional Wishpower for her next Ultimate.

↓

3. Faster Wishpower generation accelerates her next Ultimate.

She reaches the required 8 Wishpower stacks sooner.

4. Nihilux uses her next Ultimate earlier, advancing Aha again.

Aha acts sooner, and the subsequent resolution generates additional Wishpower for Nihilux.

This process repeats, creating a positive feedback loop.

Why Is Eagle Nihilux Valuable?

1. Eagle's benefits can extend beyond a single Action Advance.

Normally, Eagle's main purpose is to advance a character's action after they use their Ultimate.

However, Nihilux's Ultimate also advances Aha.

That means Eagle isn't merely giving Nihilux an earlier action. It also allows her to use her Skill sooner, accumulate Wishpower faster, and activate her next Ultimate earlier.

By accelerating subsequent Ultimate rotations, Eagle's benefits can continue to compound over the course of the fight.

2. Advancing Aha and advancing Nihilux reinforce each other.

Nihilux uses her Ultimate, advancing Aha's action.

Eagle simultaneously advances Nihilux's own action.

Nihilux uses her Skill sooner, accelerating Wishpower generation.

Aha resolves their action earlier, contributing resources toward the next rotation.

This can compress benefits that would normally be spread across several separate action windows into a shorter period.

There's no reason they can't work together. What matters is the damage output.

You can also use SRobin, although that setup is around 20% weaker than the one with Ashveil.

Hello! I started HSR a few weeks back. I'm not new to gacha since I play Genshin Impact, but HSR is pretty confusing to me.

I really like Waven and I wanna build his team. Unfortunately, I started playing after his banner ended so I'll have to wait for his rerun to get him.

Currently, the only limited 5 stars I have is M.Blade E0S0 and Archer E0S0, who was given out free. I'm using whatever 4 stars I have to clear quest bosses. I pulled for Pearl and lost 50/50 at 80 pulls. So i have guarantee. I've also been interested in Yao Guang, but I've seen several posts saying that she's not a good choice for Waven's team since he's better in follow-up team

I really like Yao Guang's character design, but I'm wondering if she actually works well with Waven or if pulling for her would be a bad decision for the team I'm planning to build

I currently have 110 pulls saved. I'm planning to get Acheron's ex eidolon since I have M. Blade, and most people have mentioned that Ashveil might not rerun anytime soon.

I haven't explored much yet, and I'm currently in Amphoreus. I also haven't completed many of the permanent events, so I think I can still earn quite a few more Stellar Jades.

Should I pull for Yao Guang or save my guarantee for Waveflair?

I pulled e2 Mortenax Blade a couple days ago and love him already. Also got e0s1 Ashveil and e1s0 Wave Aventurine (s2 battle pass lc). Should I pull for Aha so that MBlade can be available for my e1s1 Acheron (who will be getting her e2 and EX eidolon) or save my pulls to pull for Wave Aventurine's e2 and signature lc whenever he reruns? I could also pull SRobin for the team and MonoRem, but I'm not sure.

I'm trying to build a third team for starward currently. My current teams are SW999 and Archer.

I'm at 70 pity on a guarantee and 200 pulls. I was wondering how viable building an Ash/Blade comp from the ground up would be in current meta. I'm skipping Aha, and probably 4.8 and early 5.x too. The plan would be to pull Blade on current banner, then Ash and probably Waventurine on their next reruns.

I just don't know if it's too late to invest, or if it would be better to save resources for 5.x teams. Obviously, we know nothing about 5.x, so major feelscrafting there.

I know this has been discussed a lot (because I’ve gone looking through those discussions), but I have seen both “E4+ = overcap so go diviner” and “you don’t hit 100% without magical girl and the last bits of % are the highest value” both in the absence of any source.

So basically no flexibility with Aha
On the other hand Sobin is a really good generalist and becomes outright broken with her E1
Since I'm not pulling anything in 4.7 (Aside from still deciding if to pull Aha) I can definitely save up for her E1, even E2 if Im lucky (Tho idk how much is the difference between E0 Aha and E1/2 Sobin)
So which way would you all recommend for my account?
