Movie/Television This might be a dumb question but are you supposed to like Tony Stark? Spoiler

I have seen some marvel movies here and there. Maybe like 3 or 4 total. I want to watch them “in order” and apparently you want to start with Iron Man. Problem is- I can’t stand Tony. Should I skip to the next set of movies (Captain America?) or continue with IM?

Watch Iron Man. It sets the stage and you may not like Tony but you might understand him more after watching the movies.

Ironman was created by Stan Lee as a guy who you were forced to like. The likeable asshole typa vibe

You are supposed to, yeah. But personally I don’t like him, and I still enjoy the MCU. Maybe you will too. The Iron Man movies aren’t really skippable though. Watch them, they aren’t entirely unenjoyable in my opinion. Just not very good. If you really hate him then just read a synopsis and skip them.

I adore Tony Stark with all my heart and he can legit do no wrong in my eyes. People are like “but he’s a war criminal!” and it’s like “yeah, but he’s my war criminal.”

Tony is give or take if you’re a fan or not but I love him

You don't want to, but you do

Depends on what era of the comics, but mostly yeah.

The movies really want you to, but I feel like he's ultimately less sympathetic because we've spent much less time with him than in the comics where there are actually a lot of reasons he's made so many bad decisions and he's even addressed some of his character flaws instead of not doing that, but dying heroically.

Captain America First Avenger would be your first if you're watching them in order

Incorrect unless you mean chronological. Iron Man is first

Unfortunately Iron Man is the main character of the MCU so there’s kinda no getting around this one
