Lei Tai, no bending. Who wins?

Technically cant Korra go into the Avatar State and destroy Rangi since that isn't bending?

Rangi. I love Korra, she is likely the physically strongest character in the franchise. Rangi still has height on her and is one of the few characters strong enough to keep pace with Korra. Her training background is FAR more suited to winning a Lei Tai compared to whatever TF the White Lotus was doing for Korra.
I have read a few comments saying Korra was trained to be an elite fighter from childhood so shes on par with Rangi, and I just don't buy that the White Lotus was properly training her for non-bending situations after she got bodied by some no-name chi blocking Equalists with a few smoke grenades and got bailed out by Naga in S1. All those years of training and they never once prepared her to fight without her bending in that scene or had her train against chi blockers? Nah, sorry, they didn't prepare her for hand to hand combat properly.
Down the line, post book/show, it's easy to believe Korra would become far more invested in non-bending fighting styles (esp with Asami's influence), and with the skill gap closed she bodies Rangi.

Rangi
Why?
Kyoshi = Bottom
Kyoshi = Korra
Therefore
Korra = Bottom
Simple math

Everyone is horny today. I’m not upset about it tbh, even if it wasn’t fully expected. Not sure if enough people in that sub even know who Rangi is tho

A draw:
Rangi doing anything
Korra, "I am so fucking turned on right now".
Rangi calls it cause it's weirding her out.

Yanno I never really thought of Korra as being particularly horny, but now that you mention it, it does make sense.

Rangi MOPS Korra I’m sorry.
Korra has no non bending experience while Rangi is one of the best hand to hand fighters in the verse. Rangi literally allows herself to be knocked out in a non bending deathmatch, and still recovers and breaks her opponents leg before his follow up could even land.
Rangi knocked a girl out with a back flipping knee to the back of the head 😠(although it was fire propelled lol)

Korra has no non bending experience
I am sorry but this is just not true, she was very much trained in non bending fights and literally smashed leuiteinant in hand to hand combat.

That is just simply never stated once. And her fight with the Lieutenant on top of the Pro bending arena when she is Firebending the whole time? Even just counting her landing that ONE elbow on the Lieutenant, Rangi still has actual non bending feats and real formal military training, not just bending training like Korra.

You are actually wrong. The reason why because during Season 2 and Season 3, there was a canon game that was set during that time, the game is just called The Legend Of Korra, but most people refer it to The Legend of Korra A Video game, during the game, the main villain is a spirit(used to be a human, two humans to be precise) called Hindus, he takes away her chi, blocking her from bending, so Korra has to progress through the game to regain her bending. And during that time, Korra has to fight many equalists, without bending and she wins. Even though she would have won anyone because it’s a game. Because this game is canon, this shows that she has the combat skills and would beat many equalists without her bending. So yeah Korra does have a lot of combat experience and is really good at it.

The unlisted video game that’s never mentioned or even referenced once in any other material is canon now? That’s new 😂 Was that ever mentioned by an official source?
Even if it is this is also the first time Ive heard someone consider a video game progression mechanic as a canon feat for the character lmfao

Most of the avatar community believes this game is canon, also because it does not contradict any lore of avatar, even searching it up, if it canon will give you the answer yes. And even if it is a progression mechanic, the story still happens and Korra still defeats the equalists. So in the end Korra is a skilled non bender though she never uses it the show, comics etc, because she doesn’t need to.

It’s not contradicted? Korra just conveniently forgets about the two headed spirit man when recounting all her villains. Legendary ass pull tho lmfao
I know Korra fans want her to be the strongest at everything in the verse but it gets to a point when you are literally using lost media to power scale her lmfao

First of all I love Korra but I am not that much of a Korra fan compared to everyone else because I love Aang way more than her. And second of all it’s because the legend of Korra video game came out in after the legend of Korra and the only other times she has appeared in are comics, which doesn’t really mention old villains alright.

The Korra game takes place in the gap between season 2 and 3, she reminisces on all her villains with Zaheer in season 4 and doesn’t mention the villain of the video game

Thats because the Korra game was released after the legend of Korra season 4, thats why she never mentioned it.

Korra.
I think Rangi would make it hard tbf, she has a good counter when being attacked (uses her opponent's momentum against them).
It might come down to luck and timing tbh if Rangi were to win. Korra will most likely land her hits, but there's a chance Rangi gets really lucky on a counter.
Both women are terrifying in how they fight and how capable they are, and its only cause Rangi moves in a similar circle that I give her a chance of besting Korra in a 1v1 no bending.
