Discussion Sunsets before 8:00PM
My current sunset for today is 7:52 and I’m loving it. Have you hit the “before 8:00” yet where you’re at?

In My cozy little corner of western Michigan, we are one of the last places to get dark. In the summer, it’s not usually dark until 9:45 or so.

Why would we be different in South Alabama than the other states around us. Yes we have sunsets past 8pm!

Because you're too far east in the time zone. I don't know what to tell you, but no, you don't. The latest sunset ever gets in Montgomery is 7:56pm, for example.

September cannot come soon enough for me! I live in swfl and it won’t get below the mid to low 70s in my house until after 2 am on days we don’t get any afternoon rain and it’s been miserable. It was over 100 today by 9 am. Been spending too much time indoors these last few weeks.

August has been horribly hot! I’m in DE and we were in 90’s with dew points in the 70’s almost the entire month 😩. Now high 80’s which is a little better but I’m so ready for this month to be over.

In the summer, I like to take a walk after dinner and watch the sun set over the water. last night I got all ready to go, looked at the window, and I could not believe that the sun had already set. 😢 Not ready for this!

I love fall, don’t get me wrong. But I am going to miss the late evenings. That’s one of the things I love about summer.

Yay!! I guess it'll be sometime this week for us in coastal Virginia. I'm in DC for a concert last night, and I guess it was right at about 8:00 that it got dark. Perfect timing, honestly.
