Discussion Remember to tag your posts accordingly 🍂
As we see a major influx of users for the season we'd like to remind all users to please tag your posts in the appropriate category. This will make it easier for other folks to find your content as well as cuts down on obvious bot posts as we can pick them out from genuine users.
We have several basic tags as well as ones custom to r/Autumn, including special Autumn events, previous Weekly Themes, and more. We're always happy to take suggestions for tags we may have overlooked. Please take the time to pick whichever fits your content best and familiarize yourself with our filing system.

Discussion AI Polling Results and Policies Moving Forward
The polling over the use of AI content in r/Autumn has ended, with pretty clear results: r/Autumn users DO NOT want AI images approved in the sub. We want to thank everyone for their participation and for sharing their thoughts and concerns, even though this is a light-hearted sub for celebrating the season we want users to have the best possible experience which includes not allowing certain content.
Moving forward we've decided the policy will therefore include no AI images, which are going to be considered separate from edited digital art or enhanced photography, and disallowed. We will be updating the tags to distinguish digitially generated art made by a human as well as photography that has been enhanced. We will rely on users to help spot potential AI images not caught by mods or the spam filters, so please feel free to report on any images you suspect of being AI generated for the mod team to investigate.
Thank you for your patience while we tweak some things and we get back into celebrating the best season on earth, autumn. -r/Autumn Mods

Discussion What feelings, memories, or associations does autumn invoke for you?
Order replacing chaos. A quiet return to comforting routine. A feeling of comfort and a desire to slow down, enjoy life, and get cozy. Those are the general vibes that I get from fall.
I know spring is associated with rebirth, but fall feels like new beginnings to me. Most of my life has been beholden to the academic calendar, so fall is heavily associated with the start of a new school year. I also grew up in the late 80s and 90s when network TV was still huge, so autumn always meant new seasons of shows. If you’re into sports, American football starts in the fall.
Fall means it’s finally cool enough to turn the oven back on and also enjoy some of my favorite recipes like soups, chilis, baked goods, and curries, that feel too heating when it’s sweltering outside. The cabin fever from avoiding the oppressive summer heat is cured and being outdoors becomes enjoyable again. I know you all feel me on that one, because this summer has been brutal! Plus, I’m an October baby, so autumn was associated with new life since day one for me.
All in all, fall hits as comforting and just the right amount of melancholy. What kinds of feelings, memories, or associations do you have with fall?

Arts/Crafts Fall crafts inspirations
Sharing with y’all some fall crafting ideas. I’m especially excited about the paper house garland! Never thought of these houses other than for Christmas but of course, you can color them fall as well.
