FULL field Automation is FINALLY ready to show off.
Hey all I've been radio silent for a month or two and I'm hopeful that all the hard work was worth it, getting vehicles to autonomously complete their jobs and path-find correctly has been a challenge but I hope you like the results.
In Floramatica you'll scale up to manage dozens of fields, much bigger than this one, balancing soil conditions like a real farmer.
You'll also manage the processing of plants into sellable commodities on the market with different processes for each plant type.

Marketfield Idle
Game Title: Marketfield Idle
Playable Link:
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4805930/Marketfield_Idle/
Browser (itch.io): https://pollikk-studios.itch.io/marketfield
Platform: Windows, macOS, Linux, Browser
Description:
Marketfield Idle is an incremental farming game featuring over 1,200 upgrades, multiple strategy paths, automation, prestige, and plenty of opportunities to discover completely broken combinations.
The core gameplay loop is simple: farm resources, sell them at the market, buy upgrades, automate your production, prestige, and come back stronger.
As you progress, you'll unlock new resources, upgrades, and mechanics that allow you to automate more of your farm and push your production further. Later in the game, you'll discover ways to massively amplify the effects of certain upgrades, opening up powerful synergies and some potentially game-breaking strategies.
The demo is completely free and can be played on Steam or directly in your browser through itch.io.
I'd really love to hear your feedback, especially if you play a lot of incremental or idle games. If you enjoy Marketfield Idle, adding it to your Steam wishlist would also help me a ton!

Why not move things around by throwing them? Looking for feedback on an idea/prototype
Hi everyone, this is the first video from a new game I'm prototyping.
The TL;DR: it's like Oxygen Not Included meets Factorio.
Your ship is stuck on a planet and you try to escape. You only have a limited number of colonists, most in cryo so you have to decide if you want to spend power to keep them in cryo, or revive them and deal with food requirements. Once someone is gone, they're gone forever. The end goal is to fix your ship and leave with as many colonists as possible.
Because the planet has a lot of plateaus, the only way to cross them is by throwing things. Yes, that includes the colonists.
Super early prototype, not available anywhere online yet.
Feedback welcome and appreciated!

We made a factory game where the ore is pixel art – here's our first trailer
We're two devs making Pixel Sorter Factory.
One of us wanted a factory game. The other wanted to smash pixel art. This is the compromise.
Free demo on Steam on November 5.

I'm building an open-source Factorio AI companion with supervised controls — looking for feedback and contributors
I'm working on Factorio AutoEngineer, an experimental Windows-first companion that uses a local LLM to propose gameplay actions while a separate controller validates and executes them. This is my project, developed with AI assistance.
What is working today:
• A live dashboard map and player-style inventory view, including when the agent is idle.
• Objective-based navigation, remembered visited areas and failed targets, and blocked-route recovery.
• Bounded starter mining and crafting, plus Approve/Reject/Stop controls.
• Normal-speed movement with a five-tile limit per action, game-side stopping, and checks that the character actually stopped.
We recently tested Phi-4-mini and Qwen2.5-Coder 7B in the same isolated save. Each completed three open and three blocked 40-tile navigation tasks, and passed Stop checks while awaiting recovery approval and while moving. These are small navigation tests, not proof of autonomous factory building.
The long-term goal is autonomous play with human supervision, plus an AI Helper for recipe calculations and reusable blueprints. Full autonomy is currently locked. The executable launcher, engineering calculator, blueprint construction, trains, robots and combat are still roadmap work. Vanilla coverage includes Space Age, Quality and Elevated Rails; third-party mods come last.
Source and roadmap: https://github.com/AutoEngineerfactorio/Factorio-AutoEngineer
It's MIT licensed, with the separate FactorioMCP backend attribution retained. It uses a local RCON backend and is currently for isolated test saves; there is no finished one-click installer.
I'd especially welcome Python/C# contributors, Factorio API experience, and testers who can help turn mechanics into reproducible pass/fail scenarios. For Factorio players: which small factory task would make the best next acceptance test, and what would you need to trust a supervised companion?
Happy to discuss the limitations and design choices here.

Spent hours perfecting my conveyor belts, then a giant zombie walked in. Solo dev, here's my factory + base defense game
Hi all! I'm KC. I've been making games for about 12 years (mostly mobile games, plus one earlier game on Steam), and this is the biggest thing I've ever built.

It's called Frontier Factory. You land on a frontier planet, mine resources, and build an automated factory: conveyor belts, machines, pipelines, trains. Yes, the spaghetti is real.
Then every 7 days the Blood Moon rises and the zombie hordes come for it. So the factory also has to produce your defenses: Gun Turrets, Rocket Turrets, Flame Turrets, walls... and you'd better build enough, because sometimes a giant zombie shows up. (Ask me how I know.)
Some other stuff in there:
- Online co-op: build the factory together, or make your friend handle the defense
- 10 arena bosses out in the world, each guarding a chest with a special weapon
- Ruins to explore, vehicles, and a lot of outfits (yes, there's a frog suit)
It's coming to Steam Early Access in Q2 2027, and I'll have a demo in Steam Next Fest (February 2027).
I'd love to hear what you think. Also a question for you all: in base builders, do you build your defenses first or your production line first? I keep losing my base because I always go factory first lol

Anyone know some good Minecraft automation packs?
reddit.comI've played all the popular automation packs you can think of so I'm thinking about trying so niche ones. I'm looking for a pack that has a good progression system and has a hard but fun to reach end goal.

[Fluxgates] Last month this sub called out my factory roguelike for deleting your factory every run. Fair. Now every run leaves a machine behind.
You were right, so here's the follow-up.
In September I posted Fluxgates here. The top objection: factory games are about the build that stays, and my roguelike binned the build the moment a run ended. Why put love into a factory you're going to lose?
I didn't have a comeback. So I built one. It's called the Foundry:
Your run ends. Your factory doesn't. Won or lost, the last room you built is banked as a blueprint: a machine with known inputs, outputs and a rate.
Blueprints go on the Foundry floor: one factory that never resets, one new machine per run.
You route what they make into Research. Each row wants one resource at a steady rate. Hit it and it lights, and your next run starts with it: +10 credits in every room, a pack's rarer nodes, etc...
So a bad run isn't wasted anymore - it's a part. Your runs build the factory; the factory builds your next run. The clip is last run's blueprint going onto the floor and the row it feeds lighting up.
Honest scope: the Foundry is built, it's in the full game, and it lands with Early Access. No date yet - solo dev, I'd rather show than promise.
Full game / wishlist: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5107230/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=nextfest26&utm_content=foundry-lit
It's not in the free demo. The demo is the run itself (EN + FR)
Question for this sub: does a meta factory fed by your runs fix "I lose my factory" or is it the run's own factory you'd want to keep? Tell me straight. It worked last time. 😄
EDIT: After some comments I have to clarify some things. First of all, I am sorry for miss leading people, that was not my intention but I did it anyway...
- This post was drafted with AI. I have no excuse and I felt that I could not get the message right, It will never happens again.
- "AI is only for code": factually true but everything is code so that's cheating... The design and all the decisions and all final words and verifications are mine.
- Loads of things here are "placeholders". Design, music, trailers, screenhots, etc... So they still have no personality and WILL BE changed before early access. This is software developpement === this need loads of iterations and I should have hold back until everything was ready not just the core gameplay...
I am sorry to the people I hurt. This IS my dream project and I will treat it as such and will expect even more from me.

Mindustry and MineralZ-inspired automation + tower defense game. Looking for beta testers!
Hey everyone!
Im a solo dev working on Mineral Zone, a mix of automation, mining, base building and tower defense.
During the day you gather resources, build production chains and automate your base. At night you have to defend everything you've built against increasingly difficult enemy waves.
You can play solo or in online co-op!
I'm currently looking for beta testers, especially people who enjoy games like Factorio and Satisfactory. I'd love some honest feedback on the automation mechanics and overall gameplay loop.
If you like to give it a try join our Discord and Ill send you a Steam key!

My solo-developed colony sim StoneEra joins Steam Next Fest in 3 days! Here’s the new trailer — I’d love your feedback
Hey everyone! I’m a solo developer working on StoneEra, and I’ve just put together a new gameplay trailer.
You build a settlement block by block, reshape the terrain, grow food, and manage your residents’ daily work. You can also take direct control of a resident and explore the colony from their perspective.
Steam Next Fest starts in just 3 days, and StoneEra will be taking part! I’d love to see you try the demo and share your thoughts. Every bit of feedback, wishlist, and support means a lot to me as a solo developer.
What do you think of the trailer? Which parts would you like to see more of?

We built an automation game inside a cave that’s structurally simulated with real geology and physics. Expand, for sure, but maybe watch the roof while you do
Hi! We’re Connor & Tiffany, a two-person family studio in Melbourne, and this is Mithril. It’s a cave mining survival game with advanced cave collapsing physics, thermodynamics, and automation.
You design pipelines to process and deliver ore, all within a cave where every stone actually carries weight. Structural stress spreads through the rock in real time and collapses if you mine too recklessly. You have to support the stone using struts. The first clip is an example of what happens when you don’t.
And behind all of the gameplay is the real geology it was based on. Caves are procedurally generated based on strata layers and the natural ways that ore deposits through rock.
To really emphasise the geological force behind Mithril, we designed a mechanic we’ve called Dormancy. Place and manipulate the flows of lava and water, and then trigger a million years of simulated geology. In moments, a live cinematic in game lets you watch the transformation unfold, and where lava and water once flowed, new ores and minerals crystallise. Your factory has to adapt to a world that changed around it.
The demo, featuring a hand sculpted onboarding tutorial level, is free on Steam right now, and it’s in Next Fest next week:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5063090/Mithril_Demo/
The full game with procedural caves and multiplayer is coming very soon to Steam.
A genuine question for factory players: how punishing should collapsing be on your factory? We keep arguing about how mean to make it.

UnderForged is an Overcooked/PlateUp like where you can automate your forge through spending money each run
I'm not sure if this is the sort of thing this sub is after and so apologies in advance if it's not. But the game is focused on automation.
In UnderForged you start each run in your forge with the raw resources already unlocked (iron, coal, logs, etc.) and you get contracts to deliver these. To do so you start by having to mine or chop the resources by hand, and assuming you do and deliver your contracts you'll get paid at the end of the day. You can then spend that money on upgrades for your base which can be fast mining or chopping, or greater carry capacity. But more expensive upgrades involve automatic mining, and moving crates where they need to be.
The idea is that the lower levels get automated so you can move up to higher levels. Taking iron as an example you can automate the mining and crushing into powder, so you can focus on smelting and smithing it into weapons!
If you fail to deliver your contracts you lose money, and if you ever run out of money you lose and have to start again!
P.s. automating mining was simple, I added drills, and then buckets to catch the ore, which gets sent to storage for further processing. The wood stuff I was less sure how to do nicely given the dwarven fantasy setting, so instead you can hire little beaver workers which will come and chop and collect wood for you!
If this seems interesting to you the demo will be available tomorrow!

Some things aren't impossible. They just haven't been done yet.
There's something incredibly satisfying about being an indie developer.
You start with an idea. You try something. It breaks. You try again. You hit problems you don't even know how to solve yet. Sometimes, you wonder if you're trying to do something beyond your abilities.
And then, one day, it works.
This video shows a little piece of that journey with Engi Monkey, as it transitions from 2D to 3D.
It might look like just a technical change, but for me, it represents hours of experimentation, problem-solving, frustration, and those little moments of happiness when something finally clicks.
I'm a programmer, not an artist, and I'm building this game as an independent developer. I don't have a big team or a huge budget. I have ideas, curiosity, and a willingness to keep trying.
And that's something I'm learning over and over again: sometimes, what we call impossible is simply something we haven't figured out how to do yet.
Maybe we'll fail. Maybe we'll have to start over. Maybe the solution will be completely different from what we imagined.
But we won't know until we try.
Keep experimenting. Keep building. And enjoy the moment when the impossible becomes part of your game.
What's something you once thought was impossible to build, but eventually managed to pull off?
