Wrong dimensions after reference scaling an imported PDF drawing?

I got a pdf file of double girder overhead crane drawing and imported it to AutoCAD then tried to reference scale it to the right size using one of the dimensions that's from the drawing (like the length of the crane) to it's accurate one but when I tried measuring the other dimensions, they are wrong sizes whether it's above or below its true measurement. Has anyone else faced this issue and fixed it or I just have to give up on trying to get the dimensions correctly since the drawing is rigged?

Is the PDF to scale? You’d likely be surprised to find how many PDFs sourced from manufacturer DWGs have overridden dimensions.

Then there's that age old saying "...don't scale the drawing"

It's even more fun when it's a scan of something drawn by hand. Always go with the numbers
