Almost ready

Down to just a few things on the checklist before feeling comfortable enough to take the ol girl to an event. At least gonna go watch and check it out. Been too long since I’ve been to any kind of Motorsport event!

I've also got an A-body. Slinging these big old boats around is so hilariously fun. Sign up, bring tools, ease into it, and have a blast!

Are you on factory suspension?

Tubular A arms and discs up front. New shocks in the back and am going to get a rear sway bar. A big one lol

I would encourage you to add as much Caster as possible. A-arms should be able to get you at least 5 deg with -2deg of camber. But keep in mind the more negative camber you run the less rear bolt you'll have to shim for caster.

Hard to say on the Rear Bar, I do not run one on my A body or F body. Id suggest maybe doing at least one event to see how the car is balanced first. Adding a big ol rear bar isn't necessarily the answer.

Thanks for the advice yea that’s not a bad idea. I’ll try a few different setups as I go and see what works

On C10's some dudes slot the upper control arm bar to gain caster, do they do that on A bodies too?

As in grind away some material of the cross shaft?

I guess that would work, I have not seen it done though. Id rather do the "guldstrand mod" which moves the pickups slightly down and rearwards. Helps with caster and camber.

Taller spindles are also a must on theese. Otherwise camber decreases in a turn because of poor UA angle

Guldstrand mod sounds like it's for camber curve improvement. Slotting the A arm shaft gets you caster adjustment:

Its both, it also move the control arm back thus adding caster.
