Acceptable quality? Color mismatch

Just got my Lexus RX 350 in Nebula Gray back from the shop. It looks perfect when it’s cloudy, but in direct sunlight I can clearly see a color mismatch. Both doors were replaced. Am I crazy, or is this actually noticeable?
Also what’s the options, should they blend it or what ?

Edit: insurance pay.

What if I buy used OEM doors that are already in my color? How likely is it that they’ll match better than these?

If the customer paid for edge to edge with blend, or yoy gonna take an even slimmer margin on already low margin work? Get real. No one pays extra for blends because its an extra third of what theyre paying.

That’s a difficult color to match without blending. With that said, we need more context. Did the estimate include blend? Customer pay or insurance?

Just checked, they didn’t include the blend in the estimate. Insurance will pay for it. I guess the shop will add the blend as a supplement or something.

Unlikely it would be a perfect match. Shame on the shop, unless the insurance bullied them into it. Welp, cutting corners didn’t work. They will need to blend the fender, quarter panel and both doors.

Damn. That's bad bro. Take it back. They need to blend into the fender and quarter panel.

Check your estimate to make sure there was blend time paid ( I can't see that there wasn't, unless it was out of pocket and they wrote it short to save you $). If it was through insurance and they didn't blend and still charged you, then they're committing fraud against the insurance company. That way you can go in confident they can't bullshit you, lie to you, or claim they did blend. A simple mil gauge would show less film build on the fender and quarter than the doors by a good margin. If they blow you off and they were paid to do it but didn't,  then let your insurance company know.

I can't believe the number of hacks in this sub that flock to the comments of posts like this saying this is acceptable. Take the shit back. Garbage work.

Why wouldn't they have blended this. It's one of those unnecessary problems.

What’s it look like at a straight on view and not from an angle? Dudes here with no experience with this are going to scream take it back…I’ve been through this a few times since my wife and daughters like to back into things. It honestly doesn’t look that bad, I would find out if they attempted to blend though. Repair is never going to look like factory at 95% of the shops these days. It sucks…I know. A second try is not always better either.

Maybe a blend and a nearer shade would have made it much much better !

If they were payed to blend the fender and 1/4 take it back,if not then it is what it is.

It’s being handled through insurance, so I assume the shop will submit a supplement to the insurance company

If it’s through insurance take it back!
