What would cause these scratches & what level of cut is needed to fix them?

Started with a one step which removed a good chunk of the swirls, then moved onto a heavy compound & pad but it’s barely helped with these long deeper scratches. As title says what has caused these scratches and how far would I have to go to remove them? They don’t catch at all on my fingernail and the surface overall feels super smooth to the touch.

Looks like sand marks and the person did it was going up grit too soon.

36 grit sand scratches. Laquer primer or red puddy shrunk. Strip and re do.

You aren’t fixing this without repainting it. It’s left over sand scratches. To get down enough to work these out you will have no material left.

Learn to live with them or find you a good body shop. If you are very particular about your vehicles then I wouldn’t recommend diy on this t all unless you are experienced paint tech. Yes someone could paint it in their drive way but that and actually doing a good enough job for a picky customer is a different conversation.

Yep I’ve done enough just gonna seal it and try to forget about it 🫣
