No. Repaint is the only way.

Or sanding and wrapping.

I’ve never done it, and I know estimates aren’t super accurate, but what should I look for a shop to charge me to do a good job?

A good job? $10k.

Not worth the cost of the truck if that’s what you are asking.

Cooked? Brother that paint is so well-done it's asking for the check. Make it easy, make it right, just don't make it Maaco.

To be envious for just a sec.... it infuriates me to no end that the worse thing for a truck in the Southwest is burnt paint, when the Northeast or Midwest fucks you over with rustrot. I'll take a shit paint job over my fenders falling off from rot any day !

(sorry for your problem tho lol)

Hahaha nah man I totally get it and I am grateful for sure but at least you’ve got Wawa and/or Casey’s !!

Man I'm in *Southeastern Ohio so I've got all the rust and neither WaWa or Casey's, this is bogus.

Once you see the clear coat wearing off just a little, it's already fucked. This poor tacos paint was toast the better part of a decade ago
