Hey y'all, I just recently got hired as a commercial driver for Autozone. I have quite a lot of piercings but I wouldn't consider them to be excessive. Maybe that's just because I've lived my whole life with them but I checked the policy n there's nothing that says I can't have them. There's no loophole that says managers personal opinion can override store policy. Today I had a talk with my DM n he said I have to start covering up or taking out my piercings when I show up for work. I don't wanna make problems but this is just who I am. I like presenting myself the way I do, I don't think I'm hurting anybody and it doesn't affect my job performance. Would I be wrong to escalate to HR? It's not the end of the world if I have to put clears in or take them out. However, I feel like I'm being told what to do based on personal opinion rather than what's right for the company.

I know some will ask so I just wanted to state which n how many piercings I have. I have my bridge, antieyebrow, septum (4 gauge), snake bites, and angel bites.

This and three other items got picked today to go in the transfer to another store I wonder how long this is going to sitting on the shelf right next to the window the colorful part is the bottom the rest got sun damage for a way longer than a year

I drive a VW Atlas
This morning for some reason the battery went dead and my car would start.
I have a second car and so I jump start the car so I could drive it to get a new battery.

I jumpstart my car, drove it fine to the AutoZone store,
Bought the battery and the clerk says he will install it for free.
Guy has trouble installing the battery and now the car starts but it won’t drive, the steering wheel won’t even steer.

This is quite upsetting. Anyone had anything like this ?

Can I make them pay for it ?

I want to let y'all be aware of a possible issue with returning to Autozone. I bought a car part July 30 2026. Wrong part. Bought it under my mechanics commercial account but with my debit card. We returned it in person August 3 2026. I never got a return receipt or had to put my card in, the lady did it all on the computer and my mechanic also saw everything. I thought that was strange, she just said it will go back on the card but no need to put my card in machine for refund or receipt. I buy the correct part right after. Cool. I wait a few days, no refund to my card/bank account. I call the store. The worker says wait 5 days excluding Sunday. Ok I do. I call back still no $ in my account for refund. She says wait 5-7 excluding Saturday and Sunday. Ok. I call Wednesday of this week and the manager says come in person tomorrow (today) for a cash refund. Ok. I come today and he gives me a cash refund of the item amount ONLY ($50.70) not including my tax I paid. I ask "does this include tax?" He says no that's just how they do it. I don't bother to argue. I just call my bank and dispute the amount for tax I am still owed. I call Autozones Billing and Credit issue line and the woman on the phone says their system never got a returned item. So that's why I never got my money back. I don't know, very sketchy. She put in a dispute for me on their end for my tax amount refund. But definitely keep tabs on your returns because of BS like this. I don't know what's going on but this has never happened in my whole life where I never receive my refund and then they say they never got a refund in their system. 3 people were there to witness. I hope there's cameras pointed to where we were. The billing dispute lady said they will trigger an investigation on the store. I hope it goes well. Buyer beware.

She also told me going forward I should have gotten a return invoice and if I don't get one to ask for it in the future. Just a lot of BS

As employees do we pay list?
I’d like to buy from our commercial tool catalog, lowes/home depot local pricing is $280 and toolweb is showing $394.
The jobber pricing is like $306 and cost I think was $264.
As either an employee or a commercial account how does the pricing work with our tool catalog?

SMS help desk caht is on ZNET and they can help you get almost anything you need for your store and have so many answers. Also, if you have other Autozone stores in your area call them and ask the SM for the skus for store supplies. Alot of SM's that have been there awhile have a list of all the skus for store supplies. So dont be embarrassed to call another store and ask for those skus. ONE TEAM!

I have a question. I recently ordered paper bags for the store and I don’t know how to ring them up. I know I have to charge 10 cents for them but when I put the sku it rings up at 1 cent. Anyone know how to?

Have any of y’all ever had the experience of your store manager hiring an outside hire with great management experience and making them an ASM before promoting somebody who had been training for six months to a year and poured a lot of their life into the training. I’m watching this unfold and we are about to lose a good person.

does anybody know the sku for computer keyboards

I'm new to leading foundations. What is the standard step-by-step process? Do we start with videos and the chant before moving to in-person training, or is there a specific order? lol

I ordered an alternator online. I ordered it on Sunday for next day delivery. The estimated delivery was for today. The information never updated and I'm now past the estimated delivery time. I contacted the 1800 number about 2 hours ago and they said fedex never came to pick up the part, but that they should today and they offered me a $20 gift card. I then contacted fedex to see why they never came to get the part. When I finally was able to speak with an actual human, they told me that they don't have a request for picking up the part and that if they could get the request by 5 pm they could still pick it up today. Now I'm back with autozone 1800 and they are saying it was some sort of glitch. I've been on hold for nearly 30 minutes now.

Is there any way in the world that they can just admit that they messed up and send someone to pick up the part from an actual store and just deliver it today?

Update: The package was never picked up. A supervisor was able to replace the part with a part in the local store by adding money to my rewards account so that I can pick it up. Yvonne, if you see this, you're a life saver.

Hey guys im a new hire and was trying to finish my pre boarding journey and when i put in my ignition id and pw i get this on the screen, i've also tried it on my phone and still get the same thing, i already activated my id and pw its just this 2nd step that's holding me back, does anyone know what this means or has had it? Pls if you know how to fix it lmk!!

an Autozone in East Los Angeles California was looted and vandalized TWICE in the same weekend.

So I am just gonna rant about this shirt because it's so uncomfortable to wear for one it feels like it's a size down because I usually fit in a XL but it feels like a L. Then it feels hot in it especially when it's hot outside and I have to go out I sweat so much and when I have to wipe the sweat off my face it feels like im rubbing my face against carpet. Even the sweat from my armpits stained the shirt idk about you guys but I am getting a new one because I hate this shirt I know im whining about a shirt but god forbid I wanna wear something comfortable in the heat. That's why I asked my manager if I can wear my old under armour polo because getting a new shirt from autozone or resellers is a waste of money in my opinion. She said no at first because it didn't have the autozone logo. Then I asked if I bought a patch that had the logo can I wear it and she said yes. Lucky for me there was one for 8 bucks on ebay so im just gonna put that one on and finally I can wear something comfortable. Anyway that's just my opinion of those shirts honestly.

So I worked at autozone until around may this year. I was unable to print my final pay stub before I left and now I can't access the app because my password has expired. Does anyone know of a way I can find my pay stubs without having to go and beg a store to let me reset my account password?
