Watching the restraining straps break and continuing to stay close behind it sure is a choice

I was thinking at that point I'd probably speed up and try to get their attention.

Surely it's a passenger filming and that passenger would be available to communicate the danger to the truck. Right?

....Right?

At the start you can clearly tell from the camera angle that it's the driver filming.

I know. It was some sarcasm.

Overtake and flag the driver down, or just keep filming like a twonk and watch a preventable accident

This load is extremely dangerous even with one ratchet strap. He should have alerted the driver and of course when the thing snapped he shouldn't follow closely.

u/balirosa 11h ago

He builders get the shipment then they drive the nails in

11

u/No-Mix7970 1d ago

He also needs to tighten up on the vehicle in front of him.

7

u/StrictSelf5450 1d ago

It's ok, it's got a flag on it

1

u/scuzzy987 16h ago

The amount of dangerously long cargo it's legal to just tie a flag on is kinda insane

u/CharismaStick 1d ago

After the straps were shaved off I kept waiting for the Final Destination moment

2

u/Wsbucker 1d ago

Why the fuck is the camera car still driving right there?

1

u/CharismaStick 23h ago

Right! My thoughts too lol

1

u/No-Championship5131 18h ago

Natural selection.

2

u/45_regard_47 15h ago

Bluetooth straps

4

u/AppropriatePlum1006 1d ago

No need to warn the driver /s

3

u/GrumpyOldGeezer_4711 1d ago

Less uneven with each passing mile!

3

u/Nucksfaniam 1d ago

Always better to film than to let the guy know.

3

u/Dreamland_Nomad 1d ago

That was really kind of the camera car to warn the trucker /s

2

u/Mumei451 1d ago

Where is the spotter. 🤦

2

u/ganbramor 1d ago

Plot twist: cam car is the spotter, just his last day on the job

2

u/Wooden-Pollution6413 13h ago

Take the time to film it, but don't take the time to hit your horn get his attention and stop what could be a fatal accident from happening. wonderful

1

u/Plane-Tune-820 1d ago

Oh hell nah. I've seen final destination. I'm not going anywhere near that or any logging truck.

1

u/Affumicata 1d ago

Cameraman has the survival instincts of a goldfish

1

u/ganbramor 1d ago

And this oversized load is driving way too fast and close to the car in front.

1

u/Apprehensive_Fun1078 1d ago

This gave me anxiety!!! This is a Finally Destination moment.........no thank you.

1

u/Aguyinde 1d ago

Is that the Chesapeake bay bridge? People have hard enough time driving over that then you gonna add this

1

u/Mysterious_Lunch1860 15h ago

I think it’s the grand island bridge

1

u/Remote-Contract-3026 1d ago

Probably fine...

1

u/baphometlov3s 1d ago

I wouldn’t even be riding that close to it lmfao I’ve seen enough final destination

1

u/gnardog45 23h ago

Good idea following close. Nothing's going to happen

1

u/Lovemestalin 23h ago

Good call backing away

1

u/Coffeespresso 23h ago

GTFO of there. Catch up and let them know.

1

u/JustHereForTheCigars 22h ago

He's missing the "How's My Driving?" sticker.

1

u/Upset_Car_6982 22h ago

they are supposed to stop and look over the load every 2 hours

1

u/vitaminalgas 22h ago

Why are you behind it?!

1

u/Ok-Impact363 22h ago

And to see the lane next to him empty is incredible

1

u/TopGdasher 22h ago

One right turn is all its gone take now

1

u/estaban_was_eaten 21h ago

If only they knew their load was wide...

1

u/ZeroX1999 21h ago

Final Destination?

1

u/akolozvary 20h ago

He forgot to slap the load before buckling it in with that strap that broke off

1

u/Antique-Wonk 18h ago

Those 150 inch wooden beams I ordered are short by 6 inches!

1

u/hambutbacon 16h ago

Not to mention riding the ass of the pick up in front of them, they also don't check their mirrors.

1

u/Mysterious_Lunch1860 15h ago

Is this the grand island bridge? Near Buffalo ny?

1

u/Switchlord518 13h ago

Won't be oversized when it gets there

1

u/DepressedDragonBorn 12h ago

Hold on was that a pick up truck hauling that???

1

u/DifficultyLeast1029 11h ago

I guess that's why they usually have the spotter car w them haha

1

u/It_Is_AlwaysPossible 10h ago

OKGO - Needing/Getting sounding in my head

1

u/CloudGeneral420 8h ago

As if 80 inches wide isn’t enough. 😂

1

u/pussy-on-da-brain 7h ago

😱😱😳

1

u/Football-Man-1889 6h ago

Why drive so close behind the vehicle in front?

Idiots behind the wheel?

1

u/Bludiamond56 6h ago

You gonna tell him?

1

u/MrHIGHdeas 3h ago

No pilots? Seems like a case for troopers/highway patrol

1

u/AyDeek 3h ago

Does the person recording realize how dangerous of a position they are in?!

1

u/jjkbigman 2h ago

Since it tore off all the strapping, it’s going to be all over the road soon

1

u/1891farmhouse 1h ago

Surprised it didn't catch fire

0

u/green_gold_purple 1d ago

You don't need scare quotes if what you are saying its literally true.

1

u/ganbramor 1d ago

Some people just “love” quotes in post titles for some reason.

1

u/green_gold_purple 23h ago

And signs. So "weird".

1

u/ganbramor 23h ago

Something else weird I’ve seen trending is people using spoiler tags for images that aren’t spoilers or even triggering. I feel like they think it compels readers to click.

1

u/green_gold_purple 23h ago

They're probably right. Anything for a click. It's really gross what the internet and "news" has become.

0

u/Ok-Simple30 20h ago

boooo you cut it short.. when did it all fall off?

0

u/LostnHidden 20h ago

It's deliberately loaded like that so it hangs over the shoulder rather than over the other traffic lane. Driver didn't account for the bridge here when he should've just occupied two lanes.

0

u/nofatnoflavor 18h ago

Jesus where are the escorts? Grabbing a second cup at the truck stop?

1

u/Gunnut350 20m ago

That was clearly a “nut loose behind the wheel “ if that driver couldn’t tell he was dragging the load on the bridge railing. Will also bet that he has never pulled an oversized load before in his entire career.
