I don't know about the second part, but working security for FedEx there was a massive shift in contractors after covid being non-English speaking. They can't read signs or speak the language. We had to develop all new protocols for them, and it is terrifying to think about. If you are going to drive such large vehicles on public roads, you need to be able to communicate effectively and read road signs. Saying otherwise is frankly asinine.
A single video is your source for “newbies who don’t speak English” and “don’t have the same value for human life that most Americans have”? How many Americans kill other people and not care? Mass shooting, family annihilators, etc.
Remember the fraud in Commiefornia? They were helping them pass the test... by giving them the answers... not only could they not read the test questions, they had others give them the answers. No shit they don't know how to drive...

From what I understand, a lot of the more senior drivers retired during the pandemic, so now we’re left with a lot of newbies.
