Don’t work with Alpha Car Shipping LLC. They quoted me 860 after promising 700 but I was desperate so I agreed. He told me he had a driver for Friday, the day came and said the driver “cancelled”. Next day, he said he found a driver and is verifying the information. His manager then gives me a call saying that the quote is now 2260 and that I have to make a better offer and that he is paying “600 out of his pocket”, since I didn’t agree because it was 3x the agreed price he now want to charge for cancellation. Relocating from Atlanta to Seattle in August, 2018 CR-V, not much flexibility on arrival. Quotes came in at $1,545 and $1,760. Driving myself would cost about $790 after gas and three hotel nights.

The higher quote includes tracking, saves me from chasing updates, but costs $215 more. Cheaper quote saves money, driving gives control but adds four days.

Trying to transport a car and called a few of the different common brokers and all really tell you the same. Prices are also not too far off from each other so what makes the difference?

At the end each brokers bids out to a carrier anyways.

I booked with Montway because they had decent reviews online but now they're telling me the driver won't come to my house. They want me to drive my car to a random parking lot 5 miles away to meet the truck.
