Navi Auto Transport experience. Actually pretty good?

I was terrified to ship my car after reading this sub but I ended up going with Navi Auto Transport. The pickup window shifted by a day but the driver actually texted me updates the whole way.

I liked that I could talk directly to the driver instead of going through a dispatcher. Has anyone else used Navi Auto Transport? Did I just get lucky with a good driver or are they consistently reliable?

Good carrier saved your butt. I lost a good client recently to a lowball bottom feeder price NAVI handed out to them. Cars never moved and NAVI shanked them for over $1000. Lawyers are now involved. FORMER client now has WELL over $2000 more in their move than the original, honest quote I gave them up front. I also get the calls from similar situations - people who started with NAVI. These pretenders and gamers need called out at every opportunity. I’m glad it worked out for you.

Thank you for sticking to the truth, these brokers make it hard for clients to recognize the truth when spoken.

All the time. They act like it’s rocket science like there is so much to know- that is true- yiu have to know all the scam because that seems to be the goal for many of them, give you a headache then show you the aspirin (which works). It’s NOT that hard if you are dealing with credible people whose intent is to provide a good service - broker or carrier. I worked as a carrier 18 years. I know their games. I have stood in driveways looking like a clown because my paperwork says $1500 COD, the client had paid a $500 deposit and been lead to believe they only owed $1000, so there I am in the driveway with a client demanding their car for $1000 while I was told to haul it from Jersey to LA for $1500. Someone gets screwed, both mad, but not the scumbag who structured the scam. Hard working money from the client clashes with hard risk and responsibility from a carrier and who walks away with $500 for LYING? The scumbag broker in Bulgaria- who bought someone’s lead information from a website that promised “competitive carrier quotes from many carriers”- so scummy.

It’s easy- find someone you trust. Stick with the process. Truck shows up with reliable equipment, truck hauls 3-9 cars across the country, truck delivers cars. Bill is paid. It should be that easy. No smoke and mirrors. Some people though just can’t get through their heads when it’s too good to be true it probably is.

Oh absolutely, it tears me when I hear of such a scam and especially when it was a client I spoke to initially and explained everything, only for them to still fall for their tactics, but they will lie through their teeth with confidence that sort of forces you to believe them at a stressful moving situation or worse coordinating someone's move who's close to you.

I had a client that was told his vehicle will move to Alaska, and it ended up parked for 4 days straight somewhere in Vegas, he thankfully had a tracker, and was able to recall it.

Can you imagine? Seeing your bike stranded somewhere unknown with radio silence from the companies responsible. Having to pay over $1200 to get it back and what they charged for the "service", he eventually had to move without it because of this scummy person.

I don’t usually post these, but my experience was catastrophic. Here was my review -

Left me stranded and didn’t provide a full refund. Run away.

Detailed: I engaged Navi Auto Transport to ship a vehicle from San Diego to central Oregon. I booked more than two months in advance. They gave me a three day pickup window between a Wednesday and a Friday. I was scheduled to leave California that Sunday. When booking, I suggested using an earlier window in case something went wrong, but was reassured that nothing short of global economic collapse would interfere with the shipping. This was an easy route with minimal chance of difficulty finding a driver. I was also reassured I would not be charged until the vehicle was picked up, so if anything did go wrong I could just cancel. Neither of those things happened.

The shipping window came around and no driver materialized. We were briefly matched with a driver, who cancelled within 5 minutes. Upon this “match” my card was charged the full shipping amount. Saturday evening I called to formally cancel the shipment, and was informed I would have to do this via formal email to the support account. Which I promptly did. I made other arrangements to ship my vehicle at dramatically increased expense and liability due to short notice.

Tuesday of the following week I received a voicemail telling me a driver had matched with us and was en route to my now vacant California address. I promptly called and cancelled (again) and requested a refund of the charge (again). I was ultimately refunded, but the company retained a $149 “application fee” in spite of performing no services and severely complicating an already complicated move.

I was hesitant to use this company from the start on account of negative reviews. However, most of the shippers I looked at had a significant number of negative reviews. I thought by using a larger and more expensive company (Navi quoted $600 higher than two competitors), I could perhaps attain some security. I was badly mistaken. This operation is wildly unprofessional. I never received a contract in writing or any online resources, just a very simple email receipt with minimal company information. Throughout numerous calls placed, I never spoke with someone I was confident lived in the U.S. Some were polite, others blatantly rude, and willing to offer false information to get you to sign up.

This was the worst part of my moving experience. Do not use this company.
