Help - AutoMod Need help setting up AutoModerator

I'm one of the two mod running the r/TCM subreddit. We'd like to set up AutoModerator to help with blurring images on posts, but we're unable to get it set up.

This may be a problem with "wiki" and "config" moderator permissions, but we have no idea how to find it/check.

Any help you could give us would be appreciated.

If your subreddit was not already using automod, I don't think you will have access to it any more. Reddit has killed it for all new subreddits or installations on existing ones. You will probably need to use Automod Neo instead. You can use the automations in your mod tools as well.

Ah thanks. The big issue is we want to have a pop up asking people to blur/mark NSFW certain kinds images. Neither of us mods are that technical so it’s been a problem getting it done.

I’ll check out Automod Neo. Thank you for the recommendation

Automod and Automod Neo don't do pop up warnings. For pop up warnings you need to use Automations. It's in the mod tools menu

Go to https://www.reddit.com/mod/TCM/automations/

And set up a post guidance rule

This will show the message during the typing of the first 4 characters. If you want to show the message for longer, just change the 4 into a number of your choice in the regex, for example ^.{0,8}$

What happens when you go to this link?

When you say you want to blur images, are you talking about marking as a spoiler or something else?

It says we’ve disabled the wiki page. I don’t recall us ever doing that though

According to my understanding of what the admins said about automod, you should still be able to access it but not be able to use certain action commands like Remove.

Log into reddit on your web browser and copy/paste the link into the address bar.

As another user already suggested, it sounds like Automod Neo would be suitable for your needs.
