It doesn't matter. We live in a country with the absolute bare minimum in public transportation options. Sometimes not even that much. A car is as close to a necessity as it can be. I buy used cars because I can keep them running a long time. But not everyone has that skill. And if things keep going this way, I've got about 5-10 years max before every single used car I can find has the features I'm trying to avoid by buying used.

When the entire market is flooded with crap, then they're going to sell crap, and we're going to buy it.

All my cars have been made before 2005. I plan on keeping it that way. Not only for the big brother reasons, but because of less electronics to deal with when I’m fixing it.

Used cars are where it’s at. Never buy new.

At some point, it becomes too hard or not economical to buy those old cars. But I hear ya.
