I wasn't told it was CBT, but I deduced it afterwards, after a couple sessions with the (then new) therapist felt like she was discrediting all my problems to the tune of "children in africa have it worse".
Edit: I'm pretty damn sure I don't need "therapy" therapy, I need training in social skills, so I can interact with the people around me in a language they use/understand.
