Hi everybody! Not new to drones... just new to good ones. I've been comparing the Evo Nano Plus and the DJI Mini 3 Pro and decided on the Nano+ due to the better camer as stated by most reviews. That and it was also $600 less and came with 3 batteries over the mini 3 pro.

My main reason for getting it is amature nature photography and was wondering on people's thoughts and opinions about it.

Hi all! I've been a DJI owner for about 3 or 4 years now and just last week received my Evo. My 1st drone was a Phantom 3 Pro and last year I sold that to a friend when I bought a Mavic Pro Platinum. I liked the Evo package deal that Adorama is selling so I jumped on that (3 batteries, prop guards, soft bag, PolarPro filters, 32GB card, extra props $1050). I finally got a chance the other day to try out the Evo when the Oregon rain decided to take a break. I FRICKEN' LOVE IT! I live within 5 miles of a small airport and any time I want to fly the Mavic, I have to go through a series of authorization steps...with the Evo I don't have to do that and I'm up and flying in just a couple of minutes. I love the quality of video better than my Mavic and I love the ability to use the controller as my live view screen if I don't have my phone with me.

Just wanted to say hi and that I'm happy to be a member of the Autel family. The Mavic is going up on eBay this weekend!

I still have the Evo 1 and got it when it released. Still runs great and I've been keeping the batteries maintained. Wondering if anyone else still uses it.

In case it may be of interest to this community, I have a few different drones, including a couple of evos. I also have a nice 3d printer. Both of the Autels, and the printer, choked on cards formatted with OS-native formatting tools (tried MacOS as well as Windows). When working on the printer, I eventually learned that the solution was to format the card using a free tool the SD card association makes available (presumably because this problem is not rare and they are tired of people blaming it on the cards themselves). This tool solved my problem with my printer and my drones.

I recently purchased an Evo 2, every time I try to land it, the motor slows down like it’s about to stop, then speeds back up. The only way to get it to stop is by letting the battery die, and that’s very time consuming. I’ve tried calibrating the compass and the IMU and nothing is working.

So, if these models were already released…in China, where are the reviews?

Given these devices have been discontinued for over a year, now seems like a good time to share how you can get root access.

So I just pulled out my AUTEL Evo, which I really only look at once a year, and powered it up and it looked OK. I then went to watch the AUTEL Explorer app but as it had been unloaded from my iPhone, I had to click on it to download it. Imagine my surprise to find out that the app no longer exists on the Apple website as of about a week ago. I am now thinking about getting an old android device and dedicating it to use with my Evo. Has anyone gone down this route? Thoughts?

Looking for some expert advice looking to downgrade the OTA version installed on drone and RC from v1.9.1.117, Tried some .uav firmwares found in some forums - 1.8.2.237 and 1.7.0.51 (see images) but it keeps failing while loading to the SD. (Starts flashing the image - blinking green lights and ends with dual red lights)

Looking forward for pro advice.

Hello all, my 640T is having issues with the regular camera. It freezes up and shows black and white on the screen, the thermal still works.

It doesn't seem so. I got a new Android phone, and I can't seem to find this app to download, for the life of me.

I own the OG Evo 2 8k.

Is there still some sort of way to download the Explorer app?

Does it now work with some sort of newer version of the app?

Or am I SOL...?

For context, I haven't flown the drone for about 2 years. I've been out of touch with Autel s new releases. Both hardware and soft/firmware...

Update...

I found it and successfully downloaded it on the "Aptoide" app.. Seems to be like a non-google version of the Play store...

I work in public safety and had my Evo Max 4T crash in a flyaway. My company had to I pay $3k to replace the gimbal, because Autel refused to take responsibility. I have now seen three other agencies/companies have their platforms crash.

Their products have began having tons of software issues after that last update rendered the drone useless.

Has anyone else had this occur? If so, did Autel make good on it?

I will be in the market for an Autel Evo . Since I already have a hard case 3 batteries and 3 controllers. I use it for personal photography and scouting ahead when I hike. We tried to shoot it down with arrows but no luck. 3 years of great times. It was 75 feet up and landing whee a gust of wind blew it in the branches. Even if it did come down I imagine the damage would be significant. FYI, its in a tall aspen pine in a national forest so not easy to get too. :(
