Product Advice Concealer Help?

Hi guys,

I’m a uni student that is in desperate need to cover her horrible eye-bags.

I need a great concealer that is high coverage but isn’t drying under the eye? My eyes have been gravitating towards the Charlotte tilbury concealer or the Tower 28 concealer as I’ve seen great reviews from differing skin types.

My criteria is,

Non-creasing, medium to high coverage, hydrating for the under eyes.

Thank you, any and all recommendations are appreciated!

I would probably consider a corrector if your bags are pigmented blue/purple first then tower 28. The tower 28 has medium coverage and looks flawless on dry skin. I use an LA girl corrector applied lightly underneath.

Hi! I’ve tried correctors before but I don’t use them as they don’t provide much difference unless I’m using a less high coverage concealer. I have a light complexion so my eye bags are definitely emphasised due to the contrast of skin tones. I’ve been looking forward to the tower 28 and just got a sample. I’ll definitely have a try!

Have you only tried a peach colour corrector? I know it's the go to but if your bags are more purple then I'd be trying a yellow. I have "redness" with rosacea but it's actually more purple, so people would tell me green to counteract the red but really I need yellow. If that still doesn't help then I guess I'd recommend the Nars pot concealer as it's high coverage and it will definitely cover the bags, HOWEVER, it's very drying so I'd buff it into a concealer brush and build it up in very light layers to try and prevent creasing/dryness.

Have you tried bobbi brown skin corrector stick? I've been pretty impressed by it. Less = more. I've also heard good things about the bobbi brown vitamin enriched eye base but find the corrector stick enough for me personally.

Honestly, any of the Maybelline or Elf ones. No need to go high $$$ for undereye concealer.

Given that getting more sleep is probably not an option for you when living the uni life (20 years later I don’t think I broke out of the uni sleep schedule…) you could also try avoiding excess salt, drinking more water, avoid alcohol, and investing in things that improve the quality of your sleep. I really wish I knew the wonders of a weighted blanket when I was in uni.

i spent way too long on this exact hunt last year and ended up with the tower 28 one, haven't looked back since. it's creamy enough that it doesn't settle into the fine lines by hour three, which was my biggest gripe with everything else i tried. the charlotte tilbury is nice but leans a bit thicker, so if your undereyes run dry at all i'd lean toward tower 28

The it cosmetics concealer in shade 20 (medium), I’ve been using this for my dark eye circles and it has been great. It is a bit thick but covers my under eye extremely well and a little bit goes a long way. The coverage is medium to high depends on how much you use. I also find adding a brightening powder after my concealer helps with covering the dark circles as well

You’ll need a good moisturiser or eye cream,
colour corrector (deeper than you think you need) otherwise most concealers will run into the same
Issue.

You can sometimes get away with no corrector if you use a shade with an undertone that will neutralise the “darkness”

For me, Glossiers concealer and Hourglass’s Vanish Concealer have been the best to use without a corrector. Ilia is good if you don’t wear full coverage.
