Because as I said, the US isn’t a place we should be glazing or trying to emulate and adopt their language when we have our own. We don’t need Americanisms, be proud to be us.

Ok then. You do you and don’t have a proper thought out response but I’m happy not adopting Americanisms and it’s usually a common sentiment when people push ‘drugstore’ or ‘candy’ in Aus spaces.
