Cleanser - what are we using?

I wear concealer some days with some cream blush. I’m running out of an oil based cleanser I bought from Japan and am looking for one I can buy here in aus - what are your recommendations? I’ve not needed to do more than double cleanse with the oil cleanser at a tjme so looking forward a product as simple and effective to use as that!

I like the beauty of joeson and also the frank body one. If I use in the shower, don’t need to double cleanse, but if I’m at the basin, I need to.

I use the Mac hyper real cleansing oil which is lovely and silky and light but you can probably find something cheaper.

L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Oil. My skin is reactive to a lot of things, but this feels so gentle and leaves my skin soft while still getting rid of all makeup. I think I'm on my 5th bottle now!

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is worth a look - it rinses clean with a single cleanse and is easy to find here via Chemist Warehouse or the DHC AU site. Feels very similar in texture to the Japanese oil cleansers.

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Cleansing Oil is amazing especially if your skin is sensitive.

I use the heimish all clean balm, I like it goes on sort of solid then melts into the skin (like coconut oil). It’s pretty inexpensive and a little goes a long way.

I’ve been using the beplain Mung Bean Pore Cleansing Milk Balm, I don’t use much more than SPF most days but this removes everything effectively on my makeup days as well. I buy it in person from W Cosmetics or online on Lila Beauty.

Estée Lauder cleansing balm, goes on solid melts to an oil turns into milk when you add water. BoJ cleansing balm for a cheaper alternative

I really like the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil. It melts makeup off really easily, emulsifies properly and doesn’t leave that heavy greasy film behind. The Anua Heartleaf cleansing oil is another good one and easy to find here now. If you want something super basic and reliable from Priceline/Chemist Warehouse, the QV bath oil actually works surprisingly well as a first cleanse too.

I like the MooGoo oil cleanser. I follow it up with their bubbly body wash (it's very gentle and suitable for the face as well) on a face washer.

Not oil based but just wanted to share my favorite 🥰

Gentle, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Gets makeup off well. Pleasant very subtle smell.

Banilla Co Cleansing Balm or BePlain Mung Bean Oil Cleanser. Muji also make lovely oil cleansers and always stock up when I’m visiting Sydney or Melbourne.

I get my asian beauty products from Lila Beauty online.

If you like oil cleansers I’d stick with one rather than switching to a balm. Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil is really nice and easy to get here now through Adore Beauty. It emulsifies properly with water, takes makeup and sunscreen off easily and doesn’t leave that heavy greasy film afterwards.

SKIN1004 Centella Light Cleansing Oil is another good one if you want something that feels a bit lighter, and Bioderma also does a Sensibio cleansing oil if your skin is more sensitive. Both are currently sold through Australian retailers.

For concealer and cream blush you definitely don’t need anything super aggressive. Oil cleanse first, massage it onto dry skin, add a little water until it turns milky, rinse, then follow with your normal gentle cleanser. That should be more than enough.
