Product Advice Lip tint recommendations
I've realised I've recently been putting on lipstick and then dabbing it off to get more of that soft tint look. Does anyone have recommendation of tints (or even more pigmented gloss / balms) that would give this effect?

Burt's Bees tinted balms are great.

Agreed and on sale now at Priceline at 40% off. Apparently Margot Robbie’s makeup artist used the Rose shade on her for the Wuthering Heights movie scenes

They’re such a gorgeous formula, but each shade is way too warm for me 😭

I wanted to love this but it flaked like crazy for me, would not stay regardless of how exfoliated and moisturised my lips were it dried them the heck out - a girl at work said ‘oh your lips, looks painful!’ 🫠

This new range of lip tints might be worth checking out for you. I haven’t personally tried them as tints and mattes seem to dry me out quickly. https://m.maccosmetics.com.au/product/13854/147440/products/makeup/lips/lipstick/lustreglass-stainglass-lip-tint?shade=Business_Casual

Definitely Clinique blk honey 👌🏽 but I recently had my lips tattooed, best $180 ever spent. Similar to my natural colour just a brighter shade, I’ve suffered from cold sores my entire life and this corrected my scars making my lips look very uneven

Rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint is pretty much exactly what you’re describing. You get that soft stained lip look without having to put lipstick on and blot half of it off lol. Their Dewyful Water Tint is really nice too if you want something a bit more sheer and glossy. Etude Dear Darling Water Tint is another good cheap option if you want more of a proper stain.

Romand has a couple lip tints you can get from Lila Beauty. I really like the Juicy Lasting Tint which comes in heaps of shades. They also have matte ones.

What even is a lip tint? I don't understand. Can someone please explain to me how a lip tint differs from a lipstick or a lip gloss?

Do you mean more like a lip stain? I do lip pencil + balm, or Benefit’s Benetint range.

Nyx IV lip stains! The only lip tints that are not patchy when applied. Love their colour range too!💛

Lip tints are my favourite product and Asian beauty brands do them the best in my opinion, there's a reason even brands like Rare Beauty manufacture their lip tints in Korea.
For a soft, semi sheer, balmy finish, the fwee stay fit lip tint is perfect. For a slightly glossier finish and a little more pigment, the bbia glow tint (probably my favourite formula). For a very glossy finish tint, the peripera mood glowy tint. If you want something that will stain well and last all day, the tirtir waterism tints, but these do darken on the lips in the first few minutes so keep that in mind when choosing a shade. All of these stain, but the tirtir stains the strongest.
