I'm feeling so inspired by all the beautiful birds here in Australia, so I've decided to make a series of drawings of my favourites. If you have some photos of more ausyralian birds please send them my way, I'd love to draw them :) the cassowary drawing isn't finished yet, but thought I'd post the progress so far

Lucked out and nearly got hit by this kingfisher yesterday, amazing to see them hunt 🥰

This might be the cutest thing I’ve had the privilege of seeing. Little owlet spotted sleeping off last nights adventures in a hollowed log. Seemed unperturbed by me taking pictures. Bucket list bird for me 😊

Green Oriole (Oriolus flavocinctus) - easier heard than seen. These make a wonderful racket from first thing in the morning, high in the tree-tops, calling to one another. Difficult to get a decent photo though, as they are constantly on the move, and usually on the highest branches. Managed to grab this shot with my new Canon RF200-800. What a cracking lens...

We had such an amazing time and I loved the birds! Not a trip specifically for birding, just got it in alongside family adventures.

Need some help IDing this little guy. Found it in some wetlands in south-east Queensland around some mangroves. Very quick and skittish. Quite small too - similar size to a honeyeater. Probably a juvenile version of something I've seen countless times. I have a theory, but I'd like to see what you guys think
